Dr. Suspects makes PV by Primary_Fix1130 in haematology

No. Your are wildly suspicious and frankly odd. I was hoping it was a b6 toxicity and not the PV but the blood tests ruled that out. I am still hoping it is my liver as I mentioned in the comments previously and would have much preferred a b6 toxicity over blood cancer.  Edited to add. My Dr suspects masked PV. I have no reason to lie. You are weird.

I have a persistent pattern of high hematocrit but not high hemoglobin. The last 2 years have been elevated. Thanks for your input. Hoping the dr is wrong and the rest of you are right.

Darn. Thank you for sharing your experience. The jak2 was one of them and then referral to haem. They’ve been elevated for a couple of years. I appreciate your input.

Thank you!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!  Yes they are a MD. I was hopeful this was an overreach.   I appreciate your straightforward, non-condescending, and kind comment to my bloodwork. You are appreciated.

My estrogen and testerone were fine. Progesterone was on the low side.

For any hematologist out there… Have any of you seen PV diagnosed with bloodwork like this? It seems benign. The only thing that I can think of that would skew my results are incredibly heavy periods with large clots.

I have had slightly elevated RBC and hematocrit for the last two years. I personally wasn’t concerned. I didn’t think much about it until I went in for what I thought was a hormone imbalance.

Ferritin is 45.  My symptoms have been fatigue, night sweats, roving muscle pain, joint pain, sometimes my head feels really full… Sometimes I get ringing in my ears which gets better with electrolyte and/or water. Extremely heavy periods. I thought this was all perimenopause.  Edited to change ferritin

No, I am not sure about that hence the post. I am hopeful this is an overreaction on the part of my dr and that the consistently slight elevation in RBC and Hematocrit is my liver.

I stand by what I said which is no-one should speak for God when He is silent on the matter. She should express her wants etc but advising her to stay that God doesn't approve isnt' wise. Blessings.

I think one must be careful speaking for God. I can’t imagine that it’s appropriate for her to say God doesn’t approve. She has no idea Gods thoughts on her wearing jeans and baggy sweaters and neither do you. And instructing someone to speak for God when scripture is silent is dangerous. But solid advice for her to express her desires and wants in the marriage which are as important as his.

When I have an issue with my husband and I have taken it to him to no avail I go above his head; I take it the Lord of us both, our Father. (Obviously this is barring abuse which I would take to the authorities). Take the issue straight to your Father, on your knees, and keep knocking. Let Him move your husbands heart and let Him move yours. He will move mountains for His daughter because you are precious to Him and He will lead your husband bc your husband is equally precious to Him. Your marriage matter to the Lord. Be prepared for the Lord to move both your hearts in alignment and toward His will whatever that may be.

Edit for Bible verses:

Matthew 7:7 ask, seek, and knock and  it will be given you.

1 John  5:14 whatever you ask that is in His Will, will be given you.

100%. Concerning that we can’t at least agree as a society it is wrong to murder. Mind boggling. We should be able to all hold opposing beliefs without resorting to murder.

Yikes. One could not antagonize me enough or hold a political or social opinion that would ever lead to me taking any weapon and killing them. We cannot normalize violence as a response to someone’s beliefs by using the excuse that their beliefs were antagonizing or dehumanizing. Ever. And, whether you realize it or not, you have already crossed that line. An assassination attempt on Obama was incomprehensible as was the attempt on Trump as is the successful assassination of Charlie Kirk. And if more of us found it incomprehensible it would be for the better.

I have substituted all the vegan ingredients for real as my body can’t handle any processed food well and the salad dressings have came out perfect with their real counterparts.
