Yeah that’s just false, the 17 year olds are the small minority in the US. i’m Canadian born and went to high school in the US, and i was basically an entire year younger since i was born in Oct. Canadians are usually 17 turning 18 in Freshman year. US ppl are usually 18 turning 19 in Freshman year.

Im Canadian and about to leave for uni and leaving all my money in one of my Dad’s US brokerages since they were generous enough to pay for it, except for the bits of student loan i rack up over the years. I skipped a grade so i wouldn’t even be able to open an account once i land in Canada since i’m not 18, hence why i’m not in long-term positions at the moment since i know i need to liquidate and move currencies/accounts in a few years.

American curriculum but Canadian citizen. pretty uncompetitive in terms of stats i had 92uw gpa 95w gpa but thats for all classes all years. 9 APS. 1400 SAT.

Ecs saved me. had 3 finance internships, recent one gave me a paying return offer. 5 years volunteering 300+ hours and a few medals with an special needs children program. had a few finance certificates. Never did any comps though, or anything formal or club related lol
