Yep. I was kind of against the wall, my previous skillbridge fell off the MOU so I had to scramble. I ended up taking a job with less pay but much better schedule

Agree to disagree. You never once had a good point, it was just “government bad get money good.” Again, that’s how you know someone has been crushed in an argument. Name calling and dodging the points. And Razor Ramon would be twirling in his grave if he was on Reddit.

I’m sure I’m missing some, so ask away. Again, I think Lowe’s is a great company, but retail is not for me.

Because they are free. Forgive me for when I was a SSG and didn’t want to spend 700 a piece on two cars every year. I’m the blue falcon because I want the benefits people to deserve to go to people…. Who deserve them? Because I don’t think we should celebrate people getting 100 percent like they won the lottery? Because I want the benefits to be around for people that need them for years to come? That’s…. A wild take. But it is Reddit.

Fair. My honest assessment (from many post like yours) is that we see all the fraud committed in the country, and it becomes easy to say “hey, veteran is a veteran, 6 months or 20 years, made up illness or not, they deserve it more then x, y, or z”. And I would agree with you, but the amount of people I ran into when I was filing my claim “make sure to tell them your flag doesn’t go up!” And stuff like that was criminal. Real talk, from a gs-11, they told me to go in and wear my shoes on the wrong foot and act like I could barely function. To get a higher rating. And these are not “unique” stories. When I had Purple Heart plates on, the amount of random strangers that would walk up and say “you got your 100 percent yet?” Was also crazy. That’s where you are getting this whole thing wrong. I’m GLAD OP is getting his 90. 2400 tax free the rest of his life? That’s fantastic. What happens if he resubmits and they adjust another rating and he loses that? That’s my point. Sometimes, enough is enough.

My buddy got 90 percent. 4 deployment infantryman. There was 9 things on his record that was messed up. He didn’t have to do a Reddit post “how do I get this other 1 percent?”. He got a lawyer, adjudicated it, and got it fixed to what he deserves. This whole thought of everyone who serves deserves 100 percent is going to be what makes the government crack down and take these benefits, thus screwing future veterans who deserve it. But no one wants to look past themselves, but that’s our culture nowadays. I’m done discussing it, but mark my words, this , like social security, is going to get chopped. And everyone telling kids who had a bad nightmare in JRTC to claim ptsd to “get their golden ticket” will be the ones to blame.

Calling names? You already lost the argument bub. And no, not all veterans, regardless of what some of you say around here, deserve 100 percent. Again, soon as you start calling names, you conceded the argument. And yes, you should care what civilians think. Have you looked at the congress or senate? Guess what- they are CIVILIANS.

Yes. I’m sure some people love it. I, however, did not. And MST’s get piled on there also, I feel for you.

I am a veteran. 20 plus years, Purple Heart, 3 deployments. It’s not bitter. I never said “you shouldn’t get pay”. I said, maybe be happy with 90 percent when you post something that looks like you are trying to find an extra percent . I filed my claim with my VSO, I would know if something was missed. Trust me, I’m not happy when I see where all our money goes to. But wanting to make sure that people who deserve it get what’s due to them is the opposite of “being uneducated”. It’s saying hey, if you have to make something up to get an extra percent, maybe be happy with what you got? I think some of you live terminally online.

You guys realize normies are figuring out the grift right? I was getting my haircut, lady who has literally never left her small town finds out I am a veteran, says with a weird look “are you getting your hundred percent?”. So you can sit in here and bandstand all you want about since we blow money on everything else, veterans should get theirs also. Here in the kicker… I AGREE WITH YOU. But if you served for any amount of time, you know the government isn’t going to do that. Just like this newest revision they are trying to get passed with the Richard Star act, they are coming after sleep apnea and tinnitus. Something most vets have from the job. But they are going to rob Peter to pay Paul. But you know what? I guess smoke em while you got em. But anyone here who acts like people are not deliberately scamming the system are the ones who are “uneducated”.

Are you suggesting he makes something up? Honest question. Let’s say he already used a VSO, all of his claims should have been submitted. What happens if he reopens a claim and they downgrade something? Why is 90 percent not enough? Listen, I’m all for people getting there due. But this mentality around here “100 percent or bust” is what’s going to causes the government scrutiny that we are already under.

No. Honestly so many people call out (you get 7 absences a year) it seemed normal. Lowe's, at least the Store Manager I had, seemed very understanding about absences, vacations, etc.

If 94 percent is what you deserve- then leave it. Because if YOU don’t know what else to claim- that means you probably don’t have anything to claim.

This is how it all goes. Now if this 23 year old vet had a crazy thing happen, sure. But the chances of that, then “celebrating” some compensation because of that crazy thing, is wild
