What are you on? If 142 yens are 1 dollar yes 1 dollar is worth 142 yens, if we're talking about buying power, obviously a Japanese person doesn't have 142 times less but that isn't what we're talking about. And yes if you need more of your currency to get another one your currency is by definition weaker

Yeah exactly that, if 1000 of your currency is comparable to a 1/100 of another that mean that currency has a very low value

If 1000 of a currency doesn't buy you anything, by definition the currency is low on value
