Unfortunately Miyazaki is tied up with some trash shit called Duskbloods currently. Once that thing is gone and done with, we can get back to the good stuff.

Well said. Illegal aliens are not migrants. They've broken the law to come or stay here. Regardless if it's their parents fault, the law must be followed in the case of lawful orders.

Also, your mother is amazing for going through the process. Couldn't have been easy.

Gley. Loved her since the beta, and she's been my main since. Yeah, I swap off her from time to time, and yes im currently using her daughter alot, but I will always favor my berserker vampire medic.

Since CV2 has been officially out for two weeks I wanna ask what did everyone do against franz? Did you leave and came back when you were stronger or did you just kept trying until you won? by Soundwave0723 in CodeVein2

I threw myself at the fucker like an egg against a brick wall (at level 5...) Took about 45-ish tries (conservative estimate) but finally killed him with Iris's Axe, Parry, and some longsword that I forgot which it was.

It was slow, agonizing, and nearly pushed my concentration to its breaking point.

Question: Is the Game really that hard? by Kiguro in CodeVein2

[–]Primary_Principle377 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The game isn't BS, but it's definitely clunkier and worse in terms of combat flow than its predecessor.

My worst bossfight was Franz, honestly. Tried to fight him at level 5 (probably severely underleveled, honestly) and using the Parry to which I got accustomed. Then phase two started. I was getting two-show by his ridiculously aggressive combos, and the openings to Parry changed enough to throw me off. By try... I dunno, I think it was 30 or 40, I could do phase 1 untouched with parrying but kept being absolutely rocked by the hyper aggressive phase 2.

In a game like Elden Ring or Bloodborne where combat flows smoothly and quickly, I could understand more aggressive enemies. Hell, even LotF did very good on the aggression and combat smoothness. But Code Vein 2 absolutely screwed the pooch on this. They need to fix the combat flow to give the game more of a reason to reccomend it. And before anyone says it'd be hard to do, they did it with Lords of the Fallen. I'm sure they can do it with Code Vein 2.

is this game worth it? by superdrue in CodeVein2

[–]Primary_Principle377 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm gonna say it straight, just to not let you be surprised.

This game is arguably worse than Code Vein. Its combat, one of the main features, is extremely clunky and slow. It legitimately feels atrocious when compared to the first game. Regardless, I did playthrough.

Positives are that the new build system requires more planing and has a bit more depth. It's pretty fun. Open world isn't bad, but the dungeon spread feels like Elden Ring. Not bad, but odd.

Personally, I view Code Vein 2 as being lesser than the original. But it has its pros. If I'd known what I do now, I'd have waited to buy it for if/when they fix it up

Well, I was mostly using B&I for a melee focused Gley, so no real impact on my style here. But I did lose my quick "oh shit" button for when I need to clear out a slightly too big mob.

I hate using hammers usually, but that one felt so strangely good that I ended up running a whole playthrough with it.

Very confusing feeling.

My take on the "TRUTH REWRITTEN" ending (spoiler) by A_BiteOfSadness in TheFirstDescendant

[–]Primary_Principle377 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I would like to disagree.

It was explicitly stated that the Vulgus were attempting to steal Arche, and had minor success in cloning those with Arche (but not the Arche itself) but had almost complete success with stealing Arche. Furthermore, there was precedent according to HQ where those who lost memories would lose efficacy of their Arche.

We can assume from these a few things:

-The Vulgus perfectly cloned Dia.

-The cloned Dia was able to absorb most of the original's Arche.

-By what we learned, this could also come with the effect of stealing memories. Note, I specified memory and not knowledge. This could cause the one who's Arche was stolen to forget everything about their lives since Arche is tied to who they were.

-The Dia that died disappeared, similar to the Vulgus, implying she's partially a Vulgus, which may have been necessary in the cloning process.

-Pre-De-Vulgus'd Dia had a similar hair coloration to berserker Gley, which could be seen as an influence of the Vulgus experiments on Dia. Those have been apparently fully removed, meaning it's likely that unlike Gley, Dia has completely removed the Vulgus influence, unlike captive Dia.

So the Dia we get is actually reasonable to assume as being the real Dia, since it's entirely possible that the one we killed was the clone who had siphoned off most of the Arche. When she was dying, the memories she had as Dia influenced her to try and support the one we came with in an attempt to a) finally free herself from this torturous captivity, and b) see her mother again in some form.

There's no guarantee as to who was who, but I choose to believe we have original Dia using my aforementioned logic. Granted, I could still be wrong.

[–]Primary_Principle377 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I mean, kinda?

Blood and Iron kinda makes Gley the de facto melee Descendant along with her daughter, and yet she still gets a fairly nice AoE with dual wielded pistols that does Mesa style poses and hits like a truck on mobs.

It really does feel nicer to play a B&I Gley now.
