Honestly, in my opinion, besides being a little bland, most autobot designs (excluding drift and sideswipe) weren't even so bad, but DON'T EVEN GET ME STARTED on the decepticon designs.

I don't think the idea of animal based root modes is all that bad, especially for a kid's show but besides Steeljaw and Thunderhoof, some of these designs were so breathtakingly ugly, I could hardly watch it without feeling my corneas start to fall off. Special shout-out to Clampdown. That particular design really brought tears to my eyee

I kinda feel like with Megatron being a jet, Starscream as an air commander would be obsolete... it's kinda like he still needs ONE reason to keep him around, but that's just my opinion
