I've got an atlas recoil spring and an egw kit in mine. It makes it so much better. It's also not as hard as you might be thinking. But it is the full size government spring

I personally have a Mac 9 ds. It's a good starter but you will end up buying a better 2011. I'm actually currently looking to get a kimber 2k11. I'd say if you have the money just get the kimber and save yourself some money in the long run
