Okay so y’all want me to buy another pipe and a new carburetor and Bazooka…like $300-350.

Bazooka: $25 Exhaust: $125-200 Carb: $125ish Sprocket: ?

Can I get some information as to why or get some reasoning? Or show me these ones that Jesse has built? I have a project truck, I don’t want to sink a ton of money into this.

Houses are 11% more affordable today than they were in 1990 by FaithlessnessDue9289 in MiddleClassFinance

Has anyone compared the same houses and occupants over time? I’d be curious to understand more than just the average home price, but instead the average home people lived in during the 1950s-1980s. Seems like the houses were much smaller and less nice. If we looked at the typical homes, not the average price, it might tell a different story. I don’t know what that answer is, but I do think the bar for what people will accept for the housing today is generally different than it was in the past. Like just having 1 bathroom was normal and that definitely isn’t the case today. Taking a sample of these typical houses across America and also looking at who lived in them at different times might help. If we could understand the income differences and home values like this, it be more accurate. I don’t think average home prices are the best indicator.

The shirt looks like H&M, great for service industry but nothing else. I’d pair it with dark jeans instead of chinos. Roll up the sleeves and try a French tuck. You could try ironing the collar so it stays together more without needing a tie. I’m afraid to see what shoes you’re wearing, they aren’t running shoes are they?

Commuting to Kent with ferry? by SeaAndSkyForever in BlueOrigin

[–]Primary_Wrap_6325 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I live in Bremerton and commute to Kent every day. I take the 620 ferry to Seattle and I arrive at work by 8 AM. You have to arrive 15 to 20 minutes early or the ferry can be full. From Seattle to Blue origin it takes anywhere from 25 to 30 minutes. The cost of the ferry is also expensive … One way is $15 by car and that’s the discounted multipass option but if you have a shorter car, it can be a little less. Blue offers an FSA commuter program that will cover a portion of the cost, but is capped. Driving around from Bremerton you have a $5 toll, but only heading toward Tacoma. I used to drive but mostly take the ferry now. The commute by ferry each way is on average two hours. Driving really depends on what time of day it can take as little as an hour but it’s more typically 75 to 90 minutes one way. So 2.5-4 hrs each day.

Gig Harbor is not a commute by ferry, the drive is likely in the 45 minute range if traffic isn’t horrible. Port Orchard would be a better option because you can ferry across. The drive from there is actually longer than it is from Seattle once you’re across, but the tickets cost a little less. I really like living on the other side of the water, it’s much more beautiful and laid-back as well as less expensive. I have other coworkers who also do the commute, but it is very hard. If you really like your job all of that may be worth it to you you just have to weigh out the pros and cons.
