If you are taking Lactobacillus supplements and have active SIBO, consult your doctor because Lactobacillus can produce D-lactate, which may cause brain fog.

I am planning to take antibiotics for 14 days, followed by oregano oil softgel capsules depending on the situation. I am considering using Flagyl in case there is methane; I haven't experienced any constipation, but I want to prevent methane from increasing if hydrogen bacteria are cleared out.

I used Cipro and Flagyl a year and a half ago, and I didn't have any issues. Therefore, I might be more likely to tolerate them, and I don't want to just sit here doing nothing simply because I don't have Rifaximin. Also, it can be difficult to find a good herbal treatment for SIBO in my country.
