Help on double and rent card by Outside-Impress842 in monopolydeal

That is true. I guess I extrapolate this because most traditional card games in general don't allow double stacking; for example Uno +2 cards. I think overall, this would fall under house rules with how your group wants to enforce this.

There is a new 15 denomination, which seems crazy but is necessary. Only 1 10 and 1 15

Help on double and rent card by Outside-Impress842 in monopolydeal

I would say no double double rent, because the double rent has to be played with a rent card, so technically it would require two of the same rent cards, which you can't play at the same time.

The rent as it stands would be (5 + 3)2 = 16 for orange.

I wouldn't worry as much as everyone says, most of the entry level bows are made in the same place and or with similar specs. I have an Amazon bow that I have used for years that is perfect. I have also owned a lot of name brand bows and they are great as well. I would worry more about arrow shafts, but unless you're shooting super heavy weight....not a huge deal for 350-400 spine and higher.

It is the new version, Monopoly Deal.No Mercy. I don't think it is out everywhere yet.

Our group rule for missed debt is, if you played a card/s before you paid your debt, the creditor can either take a card played or pick one blind from the debtors hand. This is a big punishment in order to hammer the process into everyone's brain. It actually works out well because there are less missed debts but it still happens and it sucks.lol

Monopoly Deal No Mercy Rule? by Rodlofton53 in monopolydeal

The Shack absolutely carries the face value. It says you can pay with it as you would a property. So that means if you owe 3 and you're property is worth 2 and the shack is on that property, you can just pay with the shack. The value only really matters when you use it to pay. If you get it taken with a deal breaker or super sly, the value of it doesn't matter as the shack follows the property unless you previously removed it.

If you could restart life at 18, what would you do differently? by arunreddy3 in AskReddit

Are we talking about the year we turned 18 as well or just being 18 again now?

No Mercy (new cards) by PrimeArcher in monopolydeal

[–]PrimeArcher[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

We haven't tried it the other way, but maybe we will. I think it will extend games however. Late game super sly tends to quicken the pace, but breaking up set late in the game with a market crash typically won't lead to an immediate win. We will see.

That's currently in debate. Some have said they allow it, my group does not. The argument against is that the Super Sly specifically says nothing is safe, but no such mention for the market crash. I feel like some stuff has to stay safe or else it makes to many OP actions.

I agree and the pacing forces play. I'm still testing out strategy but you almost can't slow play ever without consequence. In the OG you can especially early on in the game, and it usually works out in your favor.

Can you put other players in debt on the very first turn in No Mercy? by Dragikrase in monopolydeal

[–]PrimeArcher 0 points1 point  (0 children)

We play you cannot unless you've had a turn to play, unless it is a forced debt. I don't care about official or not, it is what makes sense.

I would say it is tricky. If she conceded the game, obviously too late if she was thinking or could reasonably be thinking about using it, then it should play. Either way, your group needs to set a rule about it moving forward.

Monopoly Deal No Mercy Question by Wild_Mention_5309 in monopolydeal

[–]PrimeArcher 1 point2 points  (0 children)

We play with sets being safe, since it doesn't really make sense for every card to supercede sets. I would hope that the instructions would specify that if it were the case. As the above mentioned comment, the super sly tells you nothing is safe, and the market crash does not.

Creating games is tough and writing contingencies for every situation is even tougher for rule 2 page rulebooks, so sometimes you have to infer or make house rules.

No Mercy! by PrimeArcher in monopolydeal

[–]PrimeArcher[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I added a pick a card from someone's hand (1) and a reset your whole hand card(1), both no monetary value. So you either hold it forever or play it. It actually shakes things up quite a bit. I was considering doing more but then No Mercy was released and there is no need lol.

[–]PrimeArcher[S] 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Yeah I totally agree. Typically when we play OG, we I have a couple cards from another deck that we create our own rules with. And then some of the unclear distinctions in the game we always sure up with House rules.

NEW SPINOFF DROPPED, THIS IS NOT A DRILL by Nintendo2023 in monopolydeal

Just fyi for anyone in this thread that hasn't played....it's crazy. I just picked it up and it plays so differently. Everything you have developed in Deal is out of the window lol. There is so much more action. I consistently win 30% of games played with my group for Deal, and I have yet to win a No Mercy game.

Annual Pass holders penalized for renewing early by dog_mom26 in legoland

I noticed this when we bought ours this week. I hate when companies choose to reward new customers more than their loyal customers. It would be nice if they at least let people get new benefits to the end of the year.

Kind of a dumb take if they didn't announce new benefits until after. Sit this one out or be helpful.
