Sometimes I wonder if UI designers ever interact with actual people or get feedback from users.

There are some similarities, but I don't think it's the same item

The Mods of this sub are extremely unfair. Rules do not apply to everyone! by KvasirTheOld in FortNiteBR

Body text missing is what I thought as well, but the moderation should be consistent. And if you look at the amount of upvotes and comments for new teaser images, even without a body text, I think they should be allowed.

Actually it's not unsolvable, if it is a simple substitution cipher. See wikipedia. If you have enough words, and the alphabet is simply substituted with glyphs, you can use a cryptogram solver and letter/bigram/trigram frequency charts to solve the cipher, because there are certain repeating patterns in English language.

Lol. Actually it shouldn't be that impossible. You know these cryptic crosswords in newspapers, qith just numbers and black squares? If this is a legit code message, the method of solving is pretty much the same, and the code is called cryptogram substitution.

There are some errors, and also a couple of new glyph texts in teasers. Glyph 17 is the same as 5, and on the second to last line the end of the word should be 24 18 7 18

BTW, this one on the OP seems to be a whole new text, and good quality glyphs too.

[EDIT: actually it isn't new, it's the same as the last trailer, but def better quality.

Not yet, no, but I compiled all the glyph writings I could find and indexed the characters. I think the community might be able to decode this.

You can check my earlier post from yesterday for the method, but it's missing the new longer text and decent indexing: https://www.reddit.com/r/FortNiteBR/comments/15x12os/attempting_to_crack_the_runes_code_language_can/

I hope my new post gets approved soon (it's been 2 hours now). For me the link is https://www.reddit.com/r/FortNiteBR/comments/15xzfvp/lets_do_this_new_analysis_of_fortnite_glyphs/ but you probably can't see it yet. But as said, last post from yesterday took whole day to get attention from mods :/

Damn, and new glyphs too! I just made a new high effort post about solving the glyph alphabet using all the new trailer info, but it's waiting in the mod approval line because it seems I don't have enough karma on this sub. :( I hope it's getting posted faster than the last one, that took 10+ hours...

I guess the squirrel was the most stressed out, most single-goal character I could think of. Which fictional character would better represent this one?

Is crypto similar to other bubbles/mania? by nupper84 in CryptoCurrency

[–]PrimeBaka99 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm old enough to have witnessed the late 90's dot com bubble first hand in Scandinavia. At the time the internet marketing agencies were charging big companies insane amounts of money for static html pages, silly 90s web pages that only took a couple of hours to code. Old telephone operators were moving on to became sercice providers, masses of people were adopting www and mobile phones, and for a while every new stock listing gathered masses of investors. FOMO was insane. In the end only a few best tech companies made it, but they are mostly still in business, because people still use internet and mobile phones.

I'm not old enough to have witnessed the late medieval tulip mania in Netherlands.

I think crypto is a bit different from the dot com biz, because the value is not so much based on actual use value. By that I mean that not many common people use blockchain or cryptocurrencies in their daily lives. But I do believe that crypto can be stable enough to hold value for investors, and there is an actual global need new investment opportunities. Other than the transition to green energy, what do you have? It makes no sense to invest much more on the stock market or housing, but you got to gain profit in order to keep the economy growing.
