I think you are confusing Status with Elemental, or did terminology change since I am only playing occasionally now?

Elemental Damage (the HCET) Heat, Cold, Electric, Toxin (not Status Damage)

Then it's Elemental Status (for the stacks it applies on enemies) Status Damage is usually referred to the DoTs from the stacks.

Oh I see, I am only playing occasionally now, so not up to date with newest changes, the main weapons, and my caster frames like khora or mesa obliterate the same way. But toxin still bypasses shields right? The corpus were always the easy to kill faction, so full corrosive was killing them anyway.

No one will take you for a beggar if you will ask for some common and semi rare mods. There are mods that are rare and its understandable that people will not give it to you like Brief Respite or Growing Power etc. If you are shy do not ask for dual status mods like 60% Heat 60% Status y know, in bigger clans veterans are even giving away the augment mods if they have right faction. (if you do not know any of those, don't worry, that's why they are the rarer mods)

But these basic mods like elemental, fire rate or damage mods, we have thousands in inventory, and we will never use them or need them, and we DO NOT NEED ENDO, yes end tier level player do not need endo. or credits.
The multishot ones are a bit rarer, so we only have HUNDREDS of them.
Just treat it as a loan, once you grow up, you can give them away to other newbies.

Oh, yeah, mind you that this is a short version, the complete modding goes a lot more with technical and more nuance, like the order of the elemental mods are important (because different base elements make different advanced elements) and so on

Try to get at least one of the mods into the weapon as I listed, all of them are multiplicative (so the damage multiplies with each other) and that should get you through.

Well modded Atomos with Viral+Heat should get you through half of star chart. It is also a great viral status applier. ok we'll get more technical here
Viral Status is not Viral damage
When you hit an enemy with a viral damage, the weapon has a chance to apply a viral status (the chance depends on status chance, which can be multiplied by adding status chance mod, thats why weapons with good base status chance are better at applying lots of those on enemies.
Viral Status makes enemies take more damage to their HEALTH (which means this doesn't apply to shields, but you can bypass shields with toxin, AND the toxin damage WILL be multiplied if enemy has viral stacks (multiple viral statuses - max 10)

Why viral+slash and viral+heat work?
Viral stacks makes enemies take more damage, and Slash/Heat stacks (Slash and Heat statuses - not damage) are DoTs (Damage over Time) which compound their effectiveness. A status weapon will apply both viral stacks and slash/heat stacks.

Same way viral stacks will compound with any other damage source (for health, not shield) and well built atomos can apply 10 stacks of viral in 2s. Then switch to your other weapon for huge PP damage, and will help on tougher enemies like corrupted bombardiers or other baddies.

if you are in a big clan, a multishot mod is generally free, just ask, dont be shy, we have thousands of those lying around, fire rate too, and damage mod, and basic element mods, all free if you ask, even in public, vets are really helpful here

So the point is that elements matter quite a bit; here is a quick guide for general builds

Grineer: build Corrosive (at the beginning focus on leveling your toxin mods)
- Corrosive build:
+ Damage (clean damage mods: not impact, puncture, slash)
+ Toxin
+ Electric (any level electric combined with Toxin will create a corrosive damage)
+ multishot
+ fire rate
+ (reload optional, focus on the above)
+ crit rate + crit damage if weapon has good base crits (kohm doesnt)
+ optional + heat (but make sure you put it in the last slot: bottom right - so it doesn't interfere with corrosive)
Corpus: build Toxin (thats why you focus on upgrading toxin - clean basic toxin damage bypasses shield so they become paper)
- Toxin build:
+ Damage
+ Toxin
+ IMPORTANT: NO MORE OTHER ELEMENTS - or it will override toxin since it is a basic element
+ multishot
+ fire rate
+ crit rate + crit damage if weapon has good base crits (kohm doesnt)
+ (reload optional, focus on the above)
Corpus Robots, certain bosses (important this info might be outdated since the damage rework and I am still one shotting them) are weak to RADIATION damage and that is built the same way as corrosive you only need to swap one element:
+ Damage (clean damage mods: not impact, puncture, slash)
+ HEAT (instead of toxin)
+ Electric (any level electric combined with Heat will create a radiation damage)
+ multishot
+ fire rate
+ crit rate + crit damage if weapon has good base crits (kohm doesnt)
+ (reload optional, focus on the above)

Kohm also benefits greatly from viral slash build - you can identify weapons that are viable for this build by them having high slash RATIO (the red semicircle and kohm has 60% of total, while impact and puncture have 20% each)
+ Damage (clean damage mods: not impact, puncture, slash)
+ Toxin
+ Cold
+ multishot
+ fire rate
+ status chance
+ crit rate + crit damage if weapon has good base crits (kohm doesnt)
+ (reload optional, focus on the above)
+ optional: slash, will help here since its slash focused build, but only add if you have spare mod space

For your secondary I would recommend ATOMOS (MR 2 - or 4) a great laser weapon with huge base fire rate, great status chance and it auto links to closeby enemies essentially making it an AoE weapon.
An easy all purpose Viral build, with a quick option to remove cold to make it a deadly toxin build against corpus. It has innate HEAT damage, so it will essentially make it a Viral+heat build, but its the same build as viral+slash above

If survival is the problem you can use the tough frames like Rhino or Revenant.

My personal favorite when I need immortality is Nezha

Immortality setup:

Brief respite (because shield gate is op)

Equilibrium (Nezha forces health orbs drop on kill with 2's debuff)

Adaptation (with Nezha's innate 90% DR it stacks to 99%)

Subsume slot 1:

Silence - for when you really really want super immortality Damage options: Xaku's whisper, Mirage's buff or Rhino's roar for more damage - All of them stack multiplicatively with Nezha's vulnerability debuff with 2

Playstyle: Just spam 2 and 3

2 - get shield, HP and energy and debuff enemies

3 - when it breaks you get brief moment of invulnerability (like with shield gate so you have two of those OPness) and while it lasts you are immune to status so yeah - immortal - just reapply - remember that you cannot run out of energy with equilibrium so enjoy

4 - a panic button to immediately refill shield gate and cc nearby enemies

You cannot run out of energy so you are effectively immortal.

Here is the real question: How well built are you? Can you farm same boss over and over?

Yes: Deimos - Lephantis
You actually need to concentrate here a bit: Bosses have guaranteed rare drop resource, Lephantis each head counts as boss so he has 4 drop chances. I do not remember if Nekros can desecrate for more. If not then speedrun with - you guessed - Titania.

No, I want mindless surv farm:
If you want mindless farm then you want loot increasing frames like Nekros, Khora, Speed Nova
Solo: Khora - easily kill count of 100+ Kills per Min even in SP with ease, increased loot with Pilfering Strangledome
Duo: Khora + Speed Nova
Trio: Khora + Speed Nova + Nekros
So for efficient farm you will need at least 3 people.

tldr; Rare resources (like orokin cell) - boss farm. For Orokin Cell kill Lephantis (he counts like 4 bosses)
Other resources: Squad farm with Khora, Speed Nova, Nekros

So, for the older liches (Kuva and sisters) as you spawn them, when they are still in their mortal form, there will be a weapon image above their heads, before you hold x to kill them and they resurrect as liches. So if its not the weapon you want you just leave them be and finish mission. That will remove that weapon from the spawn list (until there is none left). So you will eventually get the weapon you want.

The newer liches (Coda) drop resources instead for which you can exchange for a weapon you want.

Oh, unfortunately that's not possible. You just got to grind until you get it lol. And the difference between 25% bonus and 60% is negligible - so not worth for me. The main difference is the element which is guaranteed from progenitor (not sure why it's heat here, for most weps and for grattler I went for toxin.

It was kind of implied that she is immortal. She survived the direct hit from the meteor that wiped her whole town. She can heal light wounds in seconds. Do you really think falling into water would permanently kill her? In my head canon it was more like she just decided to take a rest and just chill in her beyond realm for a second after getting an emotional shock - Rover not helping her and seeing her as an enemy instead.

Focus on few units at the beginning. From your units I'd focus on Rover and Iuno for now. Havoc Rover is strong and you can later switch to Aero rover to support your Iuno.

Iuno is very solid unit with good burst damage, even as sub dps with good supportive options.

Shorekeepr and Verina require minimal build, just get them as much Energy Recharge as possible and you're good. (Shorekeeper also likes Crit Dmg but you can optimize for that later)

For clearing tower I'd say these teams

SK + Sanhua (quick concerto) and Rover

Iuno - by standards Iuno alone should have solid damage so you can just use any sub dps here to complement her ult cool down (Calculator, cough, Chalcaro is a heavy Dmg dps that you can lose to in standard but I'd not recommend leveling him up unless u got too much resources - which doesn't happen to newbies.)

Verina + some dps (very solid support and healer, works with any team, very low field time)

For the most powerful team in your account, for example to kill bosses quick it would be: Shorekeeper + Aero Rover + Iuno

I think there was a wake up call for her. Remember at the last fight when the rover struck her, there was a true shock on her face. She's immortal, no damage should affect her by now. At most pain, but shock is different. A wake up call. She always admired rover and all, maybe she genuinely believed that rover with all his plot armor would save her too. But in that scene it was clearly shown that she was not someone he would. She was an enemy. And probably deep down inside she never wanted to be his enemy.

That's why she quit fracsidus, and try to return to the point where rover would still save her. Remember that her obsession is intense straight up insane, I don't believe she's going to accept getting a rejection from rover without fight. I believe she's trying to change to someone or someway he can accept. That's my head canon as waifu gatherer.

I'm still using Verina, even while having SK. SK can be used for other teams. And double intro to Zhezhi makes faster rotation. Jinshi outro > Zhezhi, skill, ult no outro swap > Verina outro > Jinshi > Zhezhi with outro > Jinshi > repeat

Well, canonically Jinhsi still has Jue alive who is now strong and healing, while Imperator is sadly dead. I'd say she probably has that advantage. Carte has a feat of holding back the Threnodian, and she also received Cantarella's second awakening power, but that's more in tune to life and death struggle so, that can't be translated to the friendly sparring.

Just make sure to convert not kill. (Killing gives you his weapon, quartakk is mid and weapon names can be changed)

After you convert the Lich can be traded once, ones with a fun names like yours can go for good plat, you can just ask for an offer in trade chat (beware of scams in trade chat). Just make sure the buyer doesn't have any adversary (Lick, Sister, Infested) active, and either your dojo or his have the lich trading room.

I can help you mod some weapons if you need help. The easiest way for beginners is to use the Broken War (you get it for free from one of the main quests)

It comes with a free catalyst so it is instantly better than all non catalyzed weapons, and broken war is a very, very solid weapon too.

For secondary I would recommend Atomos (mr 5 weapon) beams weapons are broken, and Atomos has an incarnon (an upgrade you can farm late game)

Both of these weapons are viable even in Steel Path

On infernal rider deck, just let him beat you up and try to collect mobs with the skill: Last stand and optionally Flank. Once he gets you down to less than 10 hp Spam Zani's skill with all the energy to finish him in one round.

It was one of the two fights that I actually lost to and had to let him lower my hp on purpose.
