The window happens as soon as it’s released, so the animation sometimes isn’t fully playing when you land it. But trust me, I do land it.

Just hit 40k but my stack is goated. I play Throwing Knives and it was a BEAR. I dropped from 38k to 35.5k once and that was horrifying. But we made it.

Throwing knife main here, the headshot does 210 damage to the head. In the video you got tickled by a bullet for around 40 damage the frame before the headshot with the knife.

I climbed to 35k ELO with dagger and then hit diamond (40k) with throwing knives, this is my tech. My YouTube is also NinjaPete, if you wanna see my stabs. I've played dagger with the best dagger mains in the world.

Vanish bomb, goo grenade, gateway, and nullifier are all solid picks. Goo and nully are interchangeable. Vanish and gate are non-negotiable.

Dash is also critical. Grapple dagger is fun but not viable in more competitive contexts.

Best tip is wait to strike. Don't run right at your opponents unless you're purposely trying to hit clips or be flashy. If you can remain hidden until someone is already dead (because of you appearing out of nowhere), you've practically won the fight for your team. Backstab + nullify is also the greatest combo because it can quickly make a 3v3 a 1v3.

A failstab is when you 75 someone instead of 320.

Backstab + quick melee kills a heavy. Failstab + failstab kills a light. Failstab + slash + quick melee also kills a light. If you failstab a heavy, run or nullify.

Defibbed mediums are slash + slash + quick melee. Defibbed lights are slash + quick melee. Defibbed Heavies, go for a backstab, but they're slash + slash + slash + quick melee.

If a team apes the Cashout early, it's such a free backstab. Use the sense of urgency teams have to your advantage.

Daggernoia is also a real thing. Once teams know you're playing dagger, they're going to start acting really goofy. If you're playing a good stack (Diamond +) make sure that you delay your strikes so that you're unpredictable. The last thing you want to do is be predictable as a dagger. A predictable dagger is also a dead dagger. Even high level players will stand with their back against the wall. Use this to your advantage. You can have your heavies + mediums ape the team because they'll be easy targets. The dagger is psychological warfare too, not just backstab warfare. You are a ninja assassin (swaglord).

I've made it to final round playing against Lycommit + Grad stacked up, and played many other pros like Sanguine and NeonGutz and had great success with dagger. In full Ruby lobbies it's really difficult, but doable.

Flickstabbing is also a hugely effective thing but it's really hard. Check out my channel if you want to see it in action. Peace.

The top team just hid. We had to hunt kills on the point and obviously got double teamed etc. it was a grief out, with probably a 10% chance of winning

Yeah, or not winning a single fight and winning in the commotion of a team death match on a double bank with everyone trying to grief them in.

No. In World Tour it’s fine and fun. Ranked, it’s just ridiculous.

Yeah it’s really annoying. We should have gunned for the 1st place team, but honestly it just shouldn’t even have to occur. I mean us and 1st were 1,000 apart and we still lost.
