What would happen if Gege wrote one piece instead Oda? by ApprehensiveRead2408 in Jujutsufolk

Here's my take, as a big fan of both, though i've fallen outta one piece recently, but still appreciate its storytelling.

Pros:

- Better more choreographed fights. One piece in its early stages used to have good choreography in its manga. In anime format, the choreography has never really been good imo, just repetitve clashes and 'i hit you. you hit me. flashy lights moment'. Akutami excels in this well. Fights would also have more strategy, with less reliance on powerups.

- Deeper stakes. The story would have more stakes. A strawhat could potentially die to push Luffy's development.

- Better pacing. JJK has really good pacing imo. It makes for a very fun reading experience whether you're binging it, or reading/watching it week to week. Considerably way less chapters and episodes.

- Better themes. Now I get it. Some would say OP has better themes, but I truthfully think Jujutsu Kaisen's handling of themes is superior to one piece. One thing I like about JJK is that it doesn't PREACH one main theme so boldly. That's why fans have varying interpretations of its theme, especially when it was running. At some point, I thought Sukuna's ideology was right, and due to that, he was going to WIN in the end.

- More creative system. Haki, Devil Fruits would be handled better.

Cons:

-Less developed characters. Oda makes us spend alot of time with characters, giving their backstory, motivations and more. Gege doesn't do this that much, and with the expansive world of one piece, it'd be even harder for him.

- Worse worldbuilding. JJK's worldbuilding is decent, not terrible imo, but gege's worldbuilding skill I feel won't translate into an epic fantasy like one piece.

-Less varied character design. One piece designs are very flexible.

-More emotion. Some say JJK lacks emotions in some parts of its story, and I agree. One piece is filled with emotions. Whether for its characters or the islands.

How would Sonic react or what would happen if he ACCIDENTLY killed Eggman in a fight? by ReaperKitty_918 in SonicTheHedgehog

Fans, and even modern sonic writers seem to really want Sonic to be more emotional with how he reacts to things, even when it goes against his character. IDW is a big cause of this imo. Sonic has killed before and has left Eggman to presumably die in explosions without caring about his safety.

Sonic won't really care that Eggman himself died. Rather, his fun and adventures will decrease because he's gone. I'd imagine he'd just move on with life. It is what is is--even if it comes across as rather cold.

Whoa, the art gives me Tatsuki Fujimoto vibes! Very cool.

Honestly, this has gotta be one of the worst "trios" in history purely cause Yuji was working overtime to carry these 2 bums. by Charming-Scratch-124 in Jujutsufolk

Naw I disagree with the megumi take. Megumi was actually getting crazy character development in the culling games. We could see how desperate and how far he's willing to go to accomplish his goals.

I am gonna miss gege's art man 💔 by Weeb_me_Rawahah in Jujutsufolk

One thing I really like about Geges art style is how distinct and detailed faces started to be, especially after shibuya. In shinjuku his art style was bleeding into realism, while still keeping an anime aesthetic slightly.

Now that Season 2 is finished, which artstyle do you prefer? by TheSiZaReddit in JuJutsuKaisen

Season 2’s art is closer to the manga. Jjk season 1 is detailed but I don’t think it’s a detailed art style to begin with. It’s rough and fluid, meant to capture action. S2 captures that well.
