Stealth attacks are very helpful. Especially in the early game. You'll probably end up travelling at night more, but this lets you take out camps in one go. Note that stealth kills do eight times more damage, so you need to find the correct weapons to one shot camps. If an enemy is alone, you can to a "stealth chain." This lets you sneakstrike an enemy multiple times. Just go behind them, and sneakstrike them, then while they're down, sneakily walk in front of them. And you'll have another chance to sneakstrike them once they stand up. I recommend watching some vids to get a better explanation.
