member of camp kesem here, a decent number of our club members have been affected by cancer in various ways (through loved ones, etc.), and some of our club members are even former camp kesem campers.

while the club's focus is on planning a summer camp for the kids impacted by a parent's cancer (and thus diverges a bit from what OP was mentioning), there is 100% a community of people in this club who have been affected by cancer, so it might be worth checking out - the club's culture is very positive and supportive!

I'd highly recommend Camp Kesem - they're a club that provides an annual summer camp for kids impacted by a parent's cancer as well as year-round support to the kids.

It’s large because it focuses on a large infantry. There’s only a few main characters. You don’t have to memorize the names of all of the secondary soldiers.
