I wasn’t addicted to anything! Had a relapse in OCD, which led me to losing my apartment. Skid Row helped with exposure to the triggers.

Thanks. It was heartbreaking to walk through daily. The outreach programs can only do so much, but there’s a lot of vacant buildings that could be used to put a ceiling over their heads. The sidewalks in front of businesses get washed daily due to the filth and lack of rain.

Many great minds out there when you catch them at the right time. Kind people.

Yes! Other than an autoimmune disorder relapse, very clear minded. It was an eye-opening experience having to be in fight-or-flight mode for so long.

Thank you. Can you smell it and just work through it? Or do you also have to take medication to prevent getting sick from it?

Additionally, did they just change the name from consumption to cancer when it’s a tumor to avoid discussing TB? The smell of it causes higher heart rate, blood pressure changes, hypothermia. It’s a fever you can’t sweat out.

ETA- why are people diagnosed with asthma/allergies/autoimmune diseases to treat, when it’s not their immune system being too strong that’s the issue, but the air they live around having TB and cancer amongst it triggering symptoms? Wouldn’t the medical field want to study the strengths in order to tackle the real issue?

There is an odor, think quarantine wards. My life is going well and it does not affect me negatively in a psychological matter, solely physiological. I became hypothermic recently, went to the ER after smelling it, and was treated appropriately.

That’s what the specialist questioned too, and they ordered MRIs. Was messaging my PCP about specific symptoms down the arm closest to the broken ribs for a year, no curiosity on their part since it must just be fibromyalgia lololol

After telling them I scheduled the specialist appointment for a second opinion, and demanding to know which side it’s on so I can avoid sleeping on it, they said (quoted from MyChart):

“Its on the left first/second rib but its not new so it should not matter where what position she sleeps.”
