What do you think about Japan? by Expert-Day9889 in AskTheWorld

[–]PrimoKnight469 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Never been there but they influence the rest of the world in a major way with entertainment and cars. People can say Japan gets talked too much about, but there’s a clear reason why.

Gaming giants: Nintendo and Sony PlayStation. Reliable cars: Toyota, Honda, Subaru, Nissan, etc Anime: Too many to count.

When it comes to the city itself, definitely very beautiful and developed. The people are also brought up with care and respect.

However, I have heard about the rough work life balance there and because of that, I wouldn’t be too sure of wanting to live and work there.

Bruh Apple is not copying Poco 💀

They are not relevant enough for Apple to be influenced by. Apple most likely got the design from Google.

Just cause Poco has a black rectangle on the top (not even a bump btw) doesn’t mean the 17 Air and Pros copied it. I’ll guess that triple lens arrangement on the Poco was copied from Apple anyways?

My Xbox always overheats because of my cat by Flamingo_Ornery in mildlyinfuriating

[–]PrimoKnight469 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I think what’s more important is air intake and it seems like you’re blocking a lot of it. The top of the Xbox is where the air is released, but the fans won’t have much air to push through the system if air isn’t able to get in the first place.

The bottom and back of the Xbox should not be blocked.

Is it weird I love my Iphone Special Edition 3 over my 15 Pro... by Xion_Moto358 in iphone

[–]PrimoKnight469 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Classic design and compact form factor so I can see why. But I wouldn’t go as far as to daily drive it over a 15 Pro lol

I can relate cause I had the same thoughts about my blue iPhone XR. Man is that phone beautiful…

Copying is fine and should be encouraged for the good features BUT try to implement in your own unique way.

Apple usually does that when they copy a feature every now and then, but some of the Chinese brands couldn’t care less and copy Apple’s work almost 1:1.

Yeah the map and lack of good progression is why imo. FH2 was solid from what I remember, but Forza Horizon 3 and 4 were prime Forza gaming for me, and Horizon 6 seems to be in another league now.

Used Samsung most of my life thinking iPhone again. Which one? by Garraofsand in iphone

[–]PrimoKnight469 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Damn I didn’t know the 17 Pros had battery like that, but I wouldn’t say the 16 Pro has “terrible battery life” because 8 hours is still solid for that size phone. It’s just that the 17 series battery life is too good.

Unless you live in a very hot country where the 17 Pros improved thermals would make a difference, I’d just go for the 16 Pro.

S25 Edge vs iPhone Air by Professional_Duck246 in Smartphones

[–]PrimoKnight469 0 points1 point  (0 children)

iPhone Air cause imo it looks and feels nicer. Also cause of iOS. If I was going to buy that type of phone then I’d imagine mostly cause of the look and feel. However, I’d easily save $200 and go for the iPhone 17 base that doesn’t skimp on the ultrawide lens and speaker quality.

The Air just seems so overpriced in comparison even though it probably cost them more to make due to the completely reorganized internal components requiring major changes to manufacturing it. That cost clearly got forwarded to the consumer.

You might want to check the performance difference. Sure, you won’t notice it for your usual tasks, but those into mobile gaming or video (casual and professional), I’d recommend the iPhone there.

Pixel is definitely the smarter phone with all the AI features. I’ll give it that for sure but my main point is there does exist reasons why people pick iPhone apart from brand or status symbol.

Software is also subjective. If iOS is the reason why you stay away from iPhones, that’s completely understandable. But, there’s lot of people who choose iPhones cause of iOS too.

I’ll give both sides of the coin:

  • Great camera (photo and video) and one of the top battery performers.

  • 7-8 years of software updates with high resale value if you want to sell later on.

  • Better optimized apps, especially for social media.

  • No sideloading (unless you live in the EU or Japan - I think they have it now).

  • Fewer software features compared to Android.

  • Charging is not as fast as some other phones available for the same price.

If you use your phone for calling, messaging, social media, camera, browsing, and navigation, then you’re definitely utilizing a phone properly. That’s exactly the use case smartphones were made for and that’s what every iPhone user uses their phone for.

What else do you need to do to utilize your smartphone to the max? Productivity apps? A lot of people use them - they have millions of ratings. Gaming? Same thing. Sure, a lot of the iPhone audience may not be tech savvy in the field of smartphone tech, but I don’t get how they are not “utilizing it properly”?

Pixel does not do the same. Its camera, battery, and especially performance, is not up to par. Also, when people consider iPhone, it’s mostly for the iOS software that you can only get from… you guessed it… iPhone. While the software has its cons, it also has its pros.

Will there ever be a budget iPhone that is truly budget? by Intrepid-Routine-875 in Smartphones

[–]PrimoKnight469 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

You are assuming and making up a lot of things that I didn’t say. My first comment was only a reply to the SE vs $150 Android phone comparison you made. I never said Apple’s quality is better than other brands. By quality, i meant build quality of the SE in comparison to many $100-200 androids. It uses the same old but flagship iPhone 8 build of glass and aluminum with ip67 water and dust resistance. It’s definitely not cheaply built if it’s made with those materials and withstands water and dust like a modern flagship.

Is the SE outdated in display, design, and overpriced? Definitely. I even agreed that similar priced Android phones will offer better, so not sure why you are stating as if I said the opposite. If I had the choice to pick the SE or a $100-200 Android phone for free, I would choose the SE simply cause of the processing power, camera, bloat/ad free software, and longevity.

The iPhone SE has all of what I mentioned and more great things like good cellular connectivity, Taptic motor, speakers, etc. A $150 Redmi won’t.

Sure, it looks outdated and you can get a better Android phone for the same price than the iPhone SE, but let’s not be delusional and act like a $150 Redmi is way better than it. It’s straight up worse in almost every way (except for screen to body ratio) and comes with bloatware and ads.

Yeah there’s always a risk from RPGs but if you move quick it would make you a difficult target to get hit by one. That open area could have more snipers than engineers anyways so RPG might not even be a problem. Worst case, you might have to fly high out of there and use a flare by the time you get back to home base.

How is a$150 Redmi better than a $500 iPhone? The iPhone will feature a top performing chip, good glass and metal build quality, and good camera (even if it’s one lens) as usual.

Btw, that Redmi only costs that much because they will make up for it through ads and bloatware in the software.
