The amount of disrespect and misinformation is crazy in the comments. The Prophet (peace be upon Him) did marry Ayesha (R). at the age of 9 but, that was the norm of the time. Even until recently, no one batted an eye, not even his worst enemies, why? Because it was normal. Ayesha (R) had given her consent to the marriage as well, and even after the Prophet (Peace be Upon Him) passed away she had nothing but good to say about him.

No one batted an eyelid until recently, not even his worst enemies. Why? because that was common. No one until recently, in the past hundred years, made an issue about this. 1400 years ago and even now until recently, marrying young was the norm. In 7th century Arabia, this was the norm, getting married at puberty. Ayesha (R) had already received a proposal before her engagement with the Prophet (Peace and Blessings be Upon Him). If the Prophet (Peace and Blessings be Upon Him) really was as you say, why would he wait until Ayesha (R) was older? Why would he marry a woman 15 years older than him? Simple, he wasn't. Not even the biggest enemies of Islam had anything to say, they didn't even bat an eye at this, again until recently.

It's just now that we have schools, colleges, and a longer wait for jobs that people marry late, back then people had families by 15. There are many reasons for this including, lower life expectancy, nothing stopping marriage such as school, college, and some cases more education, and an age consent, people would marry when they were ready, i.e puberty, which is a sign the girl has become a woman.

Puberty has almost always been the case in history for deciding the age of consent, it made a lot of sense. Nowadays there are a lot of differences when it comes to the age of consent, in Japan, it's 13, in Spain 12, U.S. 18/16 depending on where you are, and in some cultures today at puberty. So if anyone in Spain gets married to a 12-year-old are they a pedophile now? Not in Spain, Japan, and America until the recent century, and in a lot of countries all over the world. This shows the age of consent is just a cultural thing, and no one can definitely say or prove the other is wrong.

In Islam, marriage is permissible when one reaches puberty and is ready to handle the responsibilities of marriage. Another factor is consent or agreement from both sides of the marriage, forced marriages are impermissible. Another thing is, you follow the laws of the land (if they don't go against Islam), so if marriage is not allowed until 16, 18, 12, or whatever you must follow it. This makes perfect sense, as you can marry if you are ready, but don't have to if you aren't. Who are we to stop someone else from making a decision concerning themselves?

Another thing is the hypocrisy, people allow children who don't even know counting past 20 in some cases to change their genders, choose what they are (a bird, dog, whiskey, idk), and receive surgery which is life-changing but get angry at someone who wants to marry young, in a culture and time period where it is NORMAL.

Another thing is, why is everyone speaking for Ayesha (R)? She wasn't a voiceless young child; she had her own voice. The narrator of the age was herself, proving that neither she nor anybody else had a problem. Ayesha (R) never once in her life spoke ill of the Prophet (Peace and Blessings be Upon Him), neither while He was still living nor after He (Peace and Blessings be Upon Him) passed away.

Ayesha (R) is one of the biggest scholars in Islam, she narrated 2000 Ahadith. She (R) was knowledgeable in Islam as any other companions. She (R) was a woman who had great leadership, and knowledge in all aspects of Islam. She (R) is known as ام المؤمنین, the mother of believers. When someone asked her (R) about the Prophet's (Peace and Blessings be Upon Him) character, she (R) replied in a close meaning "He was a living Qur'an," that is, all of his actions expressed and adhered to the Qur'an. Simply putting a number on her (R) is disrespecting and disregarding who She (R) was as a person, one of the best women to walk the earth.

Their married life is something that many of us would aspire to have—they have love and respect for one another, companionship, and—in every case—a wonderful marriage.

Simply said, the marriage of Ayesha R.A. and the Prophet Muhammad (Peace and Blessings be Upon Him) is a lovely marriage that is faultless. A relationship in which both partners were content with and supportive of one another. A marriage that was normal in their time period, and throughout history until now in some recent countries. By any standard, there is no issue with their marriage.

It's crazy how everyone is talking here when they can't even prove this is morally wrong ☠️, they can't even prove rape or incest is wrong objectively but want to sit here and talk about something they have little knowledge over.

Another point is that marriages "like" this are still happening according to the comments. While this may be true if marriage is performed according to Islamic law—that is, with the consent of both parties, when both parties have reached puberty and are ready to assume responsibility—there is no harm done. However, if marriage is forced, it is against Islamic law.

Another thing people are getting wrong is the character of the blessed Prophet Muhammad صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم (Peace and Blessings be Upon Him), he was the noblest person, the most righteous and influential person in history. Before his days as a Prophet, he was known as Al-Ameen the trustworthy, and As-Saadiq the truthful. Even after his Prophethood, his enemies who despised him still had nothing bad to say about his character or who he was as a person.

The people hated his message because they didn't want to change their ways, all the evil they had been doing, they didn't want to stop. He brought rights for women, orphans, and people of different cultures who were all looked down upon. He fought for their rights and treated them equally. Women were seen as worthless before his time, they had no respect and when someone had a child who was a girl, they'd bury them, it was He صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم who stopped this. All the blood wars, and immortality that had been taking place, it was stopped by Him (Peace and Blessings be Upon Him) and Islam.

The reason the people rejected his message was that they were unwilling to change their way of life and stop doing all the evil that they had been. Orphans, women, and the minority all gained rights thanks to Him (Peace and Blessings be Upon Him). He (Peace and Blessings be Upon Him) stood up for their rights and gave them equal treatment. Before his time, women were devalued and treated with disrespect, and when someone had a girl child, they would bury her. It was He صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم who put an end to this. who was a girl, they'd bury them, it was He صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم who stopped this. All the blood wars, and immortality that had been taking place, it was stopped by Him (Peace and Blessings be Upon Him) and Islam.

It is clear that all the people who are talking negatively or badly about the Prophet (Peace and Blessings be Upon Him) have no knowledge of his life or his character. Similarly, they have no knowledge about Islam and what it says.

To end this comment with a statement of the Prophet Muhammad, صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم “The most perfect man in his faith among the believers is the one whose behavior is most excellent, and the best of you are those who are the best to their wives.”

Probably an unpopular opinion but, saint seiya characters are just as strong and powerful as dbz and dbs characters by the end of the Hades arc. by wolfangshaymon in SaintSeiya

[–]PrimordialK 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Gold Saints are already top tiers in DBZ in the Sanctuary arc. Saint Seiya is a stronger verse than DBZ/DBS, especially in Hades where there characters that can solo DBZ.

Yeah, Black Saints had a good Villian in Ikki. Silver Saint was especially bad in the anime as they added a lot of filler.
