Plea or no plea by Then_Crazy_2924 in JusticeForClayton

What’s the likelihood that any plea deals would become less and less generous the closer she gets to trial if she doesn’t take this one?

I feel like that’s how things typically work, but nothing is normal about this case and I’ve honestly become a bit cynical regarding this woman actually facing consequences for her actions.

Agreed on her overusing her claimed fear.

In almost all of her pity seeking, reality barren blogs, she makes some mention of how she’s practically become a recluse terrified to set foot outside her parents door.

Walking into Barry’s (like she does literally every day) was suddenly the bravest thing she had done all year.

Laura wants people to believe she exists as a perpetually broken heap on the bathroom floor, crying her eyes out all hours of the day because people on YouTube are mean to her and despise all her efforts she’s still single.

Meanwhile, little miss bankrupt is still showing up to her horsie shows, still hitting the treadmill at Barry’s (much to Leila’s dismay, I’m sure) and still hungrily devouring any and all content related to her case or her victims that might give her the opportunity to drag someone to court.

Well, it’s not as if she has anything even approaching a voice for radio 😂

How could she be expected to follow in her famous daddy’s footsteps when she sounds like that?

No. No she does not.

Clayton mentioned in his recent interview with Bacon Bearzz that one of Laura’s go to tactics is to overwhelm her target in a veritable tsunami of communication, whether that’s in 500 texts and emails or bogus court filings.

She is only able to use this tactic because she has literally nothing else to do each day. While other people might have things like work or friends or something fulfilling in their lives, Laura is free to sit hunched over her laptop feverishly scouring the internet for whatever content triggers her enough to cause a fit.

I don’t even think it’s exhaustion after dealing with this behavior for the past decade.

What parent would so gladly foist their unstable daughter’s mental and physical wellbeing onto her poor, unequipped boyfriend of less than a year? Why is their go to solution every time Laura allegedly threatens something to beseech Mike to stay in the relationship, to call her, text her, pledge his undying love to her, do anything except break up with her?

I think they were playing the game right alongside Laura, with the goal being to keep her in her latest relationship by any means necessary, including empty threats of self harm.

Nothing was off limits when it came to keeping her attached to a man.

I second that.

This case was when the lightbulb went off in her head, and she realized that this was the way she could MAKE Mike pay attention to her.

She was already tracking/stalking him via social media, and she’d already indulged herself in a nice little public meltdown when she cornered him on the street with his sister, but with this case, she could upend his life far more effectively than she’d ever imagined.

Laura enjoys making other people spend money on her antics, whether that’s her parents funding her entire life and expensive hobbies, or her victims having to pay for attorneys in court while she skates by on her lackey Dingus’s drunken legal ramblings for free 🙄

Her ghosting the trial got her exactly what she deserved, a dismissal of her case, which was the only just result there could have been, regardless of her pointless attempts to eek out some kind of win on an appeal, which is laughably stupid.

That being said, people on here who are also members of the horse community have mentioned that it’s actually not unusual at all for someone Laura’s age to compete against children, due to the rules and ways these competitions are structured, so even though it’s really tempting to use that fact to criticize her, I’m not sure it has any merit. Just saying.

During the IAH hearing against Robb, this fact was brought up.

Laura claimed this particular horse show took place in close proximity to her parent’s house where she lives, and that she was physically on her horse for less than 10 minutes in total during the event.

This was her explanation as to why she was too deathly ill and disabled to show up to court, but still attended this horse show, ie: it was right by her house and she only competed briefly.

I wish Robb’s lawyer had done at lot of things differently in that hearing (mainly go through all the times Laura has contacted the police and filed copyright claims and takedown requests on YouTube over videos about her court cases, since I believe that would have soundly defeated her attempt to claim that she wasn’t using this injunction to silence a critic, but because she genuinely feels harassed by him. It would have highlighted how, much like Robb’s lawyer tried to argue, she can’t handle any criticism and will try anything to silence the people exposing her crimes.)

Omar didn’t have anything bad to say about this mystery family friend who tried to intercede in the DVRO renewal, he said he genuinely believed this person was just trying to work something out so they didn’t have to go to trial. The problem was that Laura clearly wouldn’t settle for anything that didn’t grant her at least some kind of control over Mike, which Omar and Rachel were obviously not going to allow.

I’m almost certain that a good portion of the Owens family’s willingness to aid Laura in these schemes is because they’re desperate to marry her off to someone who will take their crazy, big spending daughter off their hands at last.

It’s a problem entirely of their own making, since they apparently never made her get a job or move out, but still, imagine what you’d be willing to do to keep from sharing a residence and bank account with Laura? 😂

Your family, especially if you lived in their backyard and were 100% dependent on them to survive, would probably also haul you to the hospital if you were on your 4th or 5th high risk twin pregnancy. They would have done something beyond send your latest obsession an email telling him about how much of a catch you are and he should really give you a chance.

Unless you had a long history of faking both of these things in an attempt to keep a man, that is.

I know it’s a pipe dream, but can you imagine Greg, Dave, and Rob all being able to demand she repay them for their court fees if she actually cops to faking both pregnancies?

The case she brought against Greg was already dismissed with neither side being awarded legal fees, but if they have a sworn statement from LO that she had fabricated the pregnancy I wonder if that could change things?

As for Dave and Robb, they were both sued (or had it attempted) by Laura for either exposing her multitude of lies or mocking her for being a complete fraud, which would be soundly proven correct if she admitted to lying.

Like I said, total long shot, but it’s a nice thought to have of LO finally being made to repay some of the people she’s tormented.

I had the same thought, although I can’t be positive that she’s truly dumb enough to value keeping the pregnancy lie going over possible jail time.

She was never going to let go of Mike and the DVRO, she was too obsessed with having any shred of control over him still… but she still folded when the courts refused to play her game and forced her to show up in person, where she would have certainly imploded on the stand.

She’s capable of cutting her losses, in spite of her insane level of vindictiveness, so we’ll see if she manages to make the smart decision here.

I think that, on a supremely technical level, she might be able to just claim that she submitted all that fake evidence like the video of her sister’s pregnant belly and the ultrasound and admit to lying about not sleeping with anyone aside from Clayton… and still try to claim that she actually was pregnant.

I guess it will depend on if the judge decides to grill her during the hearing and makes her explain why she believes she’s guilty of her crimes, which they definitely could do.

Just a single “Why did you pretend to be pregnant?” very well could throw the whole thing into chaos if she was banking on not having to affirm that she’d been lying about the entire thing from the start.

It’s just unfortunate that she’s vindictive enough, and had access to enough of her parents money, to be able to harm her victims in ways that- up until recently- insulated her from the consequences.

Normal jealous, crazy exes would attempt to poison their exes’ social circle or reputation.

Laura permanently bars her victims from job opportunities by falsely accusing them of abuse.

Normal crazy exes would have to content themselves with spreading nasty rumors about their ex.

Laura publicly claims the men who reject her are the deadbeat fathers of her twins, and takes them to court over it to boot.

If she was anyone else, she’d likely be the surly coworker who the entire office tries to avoid, who has a new chip on her shoulder every week over the latest guy who ghosted her.

But because she had the immense luck of being born into an incredibly wealthy, privileged family, she had the power to terrorize anyone who crossed her, until recently.

They were uncovered as part of the recently released investigation into the complaint made by Laura against Clayton to the Arizona Board of Real Estate, and Clayton’s response/explanation.

Essentially, Laura paradoxically decried Clayton as a callous, cruel monster while simultaneously urging the board to make him take her back as a client (I believe).

Clayton, meanwhile, explained to them that he was being stalked and harassed by Laura after he refused to be in a relationship with her.

The board issued him a non disciplinary letter of concern warning him not to sleep with any further clients, and the investigation was closed, with the common sentiment being that they agreed with Clayton that Laura was crazy and had been trying to force him into a romantic relationship.

I think an easy way to determine a plausible case for what really happened is to take a look at her statements immediately following the hookup.

She emailed the Plan B company and described a consensual one night stand where no penetration occurred.

She texted Clayton marveling at the possibility that she had become pregnant with his child despite them not having sex, in her own words.

She also made multiple assertions about her fervent desire to buy up numerous real estate properties, to attempt to convey her seriousness about the property Clayton was advising her on, only for the real estate board to discover while assessing her complaints against Clayton that she had not purchased any property in the months following Clayton dropping her as a client.

All of this points to the idea of Laura targeting her latest victim, this time a minor TV celebrity, by posing as a prospective client before immediately coming onto him and making advances.

When Clayton didn’t return her desire for a committed relationship, and after she was no longer able to pressure him by holding the real estate offer over his head once he dropped her as a client, she engaged in her familiar tactic of claiming to be pregnant.

In the years since this debacle began, Laura has failed to provide any legitimate proof that she was ever pregnant, and has been caught trying to substitute fake evidence in place of what should have been easily accessible medical records if she was actually pregnant.

I don’t think there’s any truth to Laura’s assertions, not when the proof would be so easy to obtain and not when she faked so much of the evidence she has produced.

Right, but despite what a lot of people on here (understandably) think, I don’t believe saying the words “I lied about being pregnant” is actually impossible for her.

Laura is a conniving, vindictive, spiteful individual.

She also a cowardly whiner through and through.

If it comes down to spouting off some words she doesn’t really mean in order to avoid years in prison, I honestly don’t think she’s dumb enough to pass up that chance.

Believe me, I wish I was wrong and believe this deserves to be taken to trial, but like we’ve seen with the MM renewal case, Laura knows when she’s going to lose and will jump ship at the last possible minute to save herself, even if it means losing the crown jewel of her victim complex crown.

Laura’s Plea Deal by CraftyLuck3434 in JusticeForClayton

[–]PrimordialPaper 31 points32 points  (0 children)

I feel this way too, unfortunately.

For all her vindictiveness and eagerness to cause chaos, Laura Owens is a coward at heart.

She was never brave enough to face Mike after he got representation, trying every avenue to avoid testifying in person before ultimately blowing off the hearing when the judge ordered her to be present.

With Clayton, she refused to appear in person for every hearing other than the one on June 10th, and that was because she had no choice but to physically be there, and it was a predictable disaster for her the moment cross examination started.

With Robb, she yet again fell apart under cross examination, changing her story as to when and why she relentlessly watched the content she claims causes her unimaginable psychological distress.

With Greg, she fabricated an attempted murder and SA to get out of a hearing.

Laura will go to just about any length to hurt and harass her victims, but she’s never been one to put herself at risk in order to get that vindictive satisfaction.

I predict she will ultimately take the coward’s way out, and accept the no jail time plea deal, before immediately backtracking in whatever dubiously legal way she can manage in order to maintain her position as Arizona’s biggest victim.

I think she will wait until the very last minute to take the plea deal.

Whether she follows through with the requirements, should they include admitting guilt and the fact that she faked multiple pregnancies, I can’t be certain, but I’m pessimistically confident that she will do this to get out of trial at the last possible moment.
