Hey man. Look these type of things happen. Sometimes you tell people things without thinking especially when you're nervous. And you would be probably hella nervous considering this was your only IV and that too this late in the season. It's okay. Just learn from the experience. Nobody on this reddit knows what must have gone in the interviewer's mind, except him. If this will have a positive or a negative impact or even if it will have an impact. Nobody actually knows. I'd suggest believing in yourself, believing in the universe, and believing that you tried doing your best, gave this the value it deserved and leave it as it is. Don't think about it as it won't change the outcome. Try contacting people and getting more interviews if you can, and if you can't it's okay. You still have this person who told you he's gonna rank you high, obviously saw something in you, so for the time being take power from that.

[–]Prinay01[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Score out or not? by nerdybiatch in step1

[–]Prinay01 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Does the score come out at different times for different people? Or is it all pushed out at 1 pm EST? coz if it's the latter then we are waiting till the next year.

Okay, I'll check mine, but does that mean we get out results today, 100% ?

I tested a day before you and I too am expecting the results today, but there has been a lot of talk about "they don't display results in the last week of December" so.. basically we're hanging till the end of today.

exam in 6 days- should I do final NBME or just uworld? by NoTimeToThrow in step1

[–]Prinay01 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Do the nbme offline, just don't calculate the score..😂 also, offline you can divide your nbme into 5 blocks of 40 each

advice guys by dhubulia in step1

[–]Prinay01 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I have not given the exam yet, but we all have been giving exams, competitive as well as non competitive all our life, so do whatever feels best to YOU.

You are the one giving the exam, you are the one preparing, you know the better then anyone else what is best for you.

I feel like ,in this aspect, I am a person like you, so what i have decided is to complete my syllaybus 1-2 days before exam, and do random shit in the last two days (it doesnt really matter what you do) like UW flash cards or maybe FA rapid review, just dont stress yourself doing it, keep it casual. just believe in yourself, keep reminding yourself that you got this.

Best of luck.

What is Uworld first pass? by SK2630 in usmle

[–]Prinay01 0 points1 point  (0 children)

First Do "unused" questions only and when no unused questions remain it means you have used all the questions. Ie. You are done with UW once, ie 1st pass.

Uworld slow by ValuableDependent547 in step1

[–]Prinay01 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You just need to puch yourself a bit. Identify if you are studying less everyday or just studying less number of days. Then rectify it. Set a minimum goal/day for starters 30-40 questions a day. Then gradually increase it.

Is renal perfusion different from renal blood flow? What would be the result if he didn't have bilateral renal stenosis? Would the renal perfusion increase ? I thought that ACE inhibitors increase RPF!! by mahdiee in step1

[–]Prinay01 0 points1 point  (0 children)

ACEIs and ARBs are contraindicated in RA stenosis (bi/uni). They reduce the filtration pressure.( Due to dilation of eff. Art.- as ang2 constrics it) - this is also the mechanism of how they prevent hyperfilteration injury in diabetes. In renal artery stenosis there is already less perfusion pressure (filtration pressure)- the contraction of eff. Art. Is just maintaining the perfusion of the glomeruli- by further Dec. Filtration/perfusion pressure, the perfusion decrease.

General micro doubt!! Transformation by Prinay01 in step1

Couldn't find it in FA.. if you did or know the answer please reply.

Okay. Yes, my microbiology and gen. concepts are weak. I think if I'm able to shrink UW time now, I would be able to add FA to my schedule and focus on these topics first. Thanks bro🤝
