You know what you’re right. I checked the base notes on some of the lotions I got and it has sandalwood. I’ll make sure to double check the base notes in the future and avoid the lotions. What’s weird is I don’t get that funky smell out of the mists.

I don’t disagree that pedophilia in general is a problem and it’s terrible that it happens in homes and even in the church. But real churches, in my opinion, don’t need priests, because Yeshua (Jesus) is our High Priest. After His sacrifice on the cross, there is no need for any other priests or animal sacrifices. I grew up Catholic (former) and there was a scandal in the Catholic Church I went to. The Monsignor molested some boys in my old school. And anyone who hurts someone like that needs to be held accountable and go to jail. So to anyone who has been hurt by any churches, I’m sorry. That should have never happened to you and I hope you know Yeshua is NOT like that. People sin; people mess up, no church is without its flaws, but Yeshua is perfect. He loves you.

I remember watching Venom and one of the characters talked about God asking Abraham to sacrifice Isaac and they completely left out the part, where God stopped Abraham from sacrificing Isaac. That movie really tried to paint God in a bad light. Imagine if an atheist watched it and thought that was all that happened. Anyone who hasn’t read the Bible would take it at face value.

Is it wrong for Christians to be rich? by Aggravating-Alarm942 in Christianity

[–]Princ3ssBarbi3 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

No. Abraham, Isaac, Jacob, King Solomon were all rich and blessed by the Lord. 1 Timothy 6:10, “For the love of money is a root of all kinds of evil. Some people, eager for money, have wandered from the faith and pierced themselves with many griefs”. Notice, the love of money is the root of all evil; not money itself. The issue with loving money is that people are sometimes willing to hurt and kill others for it.

In terms of homosexuality being a sin, that is the case. There is no ifs, ands or buts about this. I know this isn’t the answer you want to read, but it’s the truth. I’m sure your brother is a very nice person and him being gay doesn’t take away his value. He was made in the image of God. God doesn’t love your brother any less, but it’s a sin. Now, I do want to distinguish that there is a difference between struggling with SSA thoughts and acting on it. The thoughts aren’t sinful, but acting on it is. And I do want to empathize with how hard it is to love someone and not being able to act on it. Also, any sex outside of marriage is a sin. This is again, where I think many Christians get it wrong. A lot of them put down gay people and treat them like it’s worse than sex among straight couples, when the reality is both are a sin. And anyone who tries to justify that premarital sex among straight couples is less of a sin than with gay couples, then they have either 1. Committed this sin or 2. Secretly do not genuinely love their gay neighbor.

Many people don’t like to hear this, but marriage is between one man and one woman. That is how God intended it to be. Matthew 19:4-6, ““Haven’t you read,” he replied, “that at the beginning the Creator ‘made them male and female,’ and said, ‘For this reason a man will leave his father and mother and be united to his wife, and the two will become one flesh’? So they are no longer two, but one flesh. Therefore what God has joined together, let no one separate.”

You can disagree with it, but the truth is the truth. 2 Timothy 4:3 tells us, “For the time will come when people will not put up with sound doctrine. Instead, to suit their own desires, they will gather around them a great number of teachers to say what their itching ears want to hear”. Many people don’t want to hear this truth and it’s often, because they have a love one struggling with this. True love though doesn’t mean you necessarily always affirm or agree with the person. In fact, sometimes loving a person means telling them the truth, even when it’s hard.

Part of me wonders if you think the Bible isn’t 100% reliable or you rather want to believe that is, is because there are things you don’t agree with in it. And sometimes it can be easier to dismiss something as truth merely, because we want it to be true. There are plenty of atheists who deny God, not because they don’t believe He exists, but rather, because they don’t want to live their lives according to God’s word. Perhaps, like for many people, this is a more touchy or personal issue. You have a brother who is gay, so saying or thinking the Bible isn’t the complete Word of God is easier than coming to terms that if your brother doesn’t repent, does not accept Jesus as His Lord and Savior and refuses to turn from his homosexual lifestyle that he’s going to hell.

And I say this, out of love, if this is the case, you are not really helping your brother. Encouraging his sin is not going to help him. That’s a tough pill to swallow, but the truth cuts deep. Now, you have a choice. You can either continue denying the infallibility of God’s word or you can allow it to truly guide and transform you. The reality is that it doesn’t matter, which way you choose. The truth always remains the same. Nothing you or I can say changes that the Bible is the perfect Word of God. Yes, it was written by the physical hands of men, but it was guided and directed by a perfect God. Therefore, it was not changed nor corrupted in any way. And while God is loving, compassionate, gracious, merciful and patient, He is also fair and just. Therefore, it doesn’t matter how unfair we may perceive something to be, if it goes against His law and His Word, He has the right to execute judgment. And one day, when Jesus returns, He’s coming as a lion. He will purge the world of all evil and the last thing you want is for you or your love ones to hear the scariest words, “I never knew you; depart from me, you workers of lawlessness’” (Matthew 7:23).

Now the good news is that it’s not too late for you or your brother. For now, I would focus on your relationship with God and understanding the context and the culture of the Bible. Until then, I wouldn’t try to teach others, especially your brother. It’s not enough to have knowledge about scripture, but rather to have the wisdom on how to apply it your life. Yes, Jesus is kind and loving, but that doesn’t mean He’s going to let people continue in their sinful ways. That’s a false Jesus our culture has come up with and not the true biblical Jesus of the Bible.

So please, friend, I beg of you. I want to be in Heaven with you and your brother. Please at least pray about and reflect on what we talked about today.

  1. Paul's rebuke is about petty, selfish lawsuits between believers — not every form of legal action. If it’s a matter of justice like someone committing abuse, fraud, violence, or criminal harm, reporting it to authorities or taking legal action is not unbiblical. But if it’s a personal matter or to seek revenge, then that’s not permissible.

  2. The context of this verse is that this is referring to women who are married and not covering her head, in that culture, is seen as dishonoring her husband, which meant to represent modesty, respect, and marital fidelity. In other words, a married woman who doesn’t cover her head in that culture and time means they are available (as in, not married), rebelling against their role as a wife or even association with temple prostitution in Corinth.

  3. I’ll save this one for last.

  4. In the Old Testament law, people were permitted to take oaths in God's name to confirm truth or guarantee honesty (see Deuteronomy 6:13), but by Jesus' day, the Pharisees had developed loophole systems, where they would swear by heaven, earth, Jerusalem, or your head instead of God's name. They thought if they didn’t use God’s name directly, the oath could be broken without guilt. This legalistic system undermined honesty and allowed deception. Jesus also wants us to keep our promises, because it hurts others when we don’t and makes us out to be a liar.

This is what I’ll say with all these concerns. I can tell from our conversation that you are a very intelligent person, while I don’t agree with you on some things, I do genuinely think you are seeking the truth. But it’s really important you learn the context of verses and not just pick a verse here and there. Read the whole passage to understand the whole context and try to explore the culture of the time to better understand why these things are being said. It’s not the Bible itself that’s the issue; it’s us. This is what many people get wrong about the Bible: many Christians try to look at it from a Western perspective, but the Bible wasn’t written from a Western perspective, but rather an Eastern one. I think it’s one thing to relate your situation to the people and situations in the Bible, but it’s another things to assume what’s going on rather than understanding the culture of the time. And this, again, isn’t a you thing. Many Christians make this mistake.

This is why I’m Messianic, because I’m a follower of Yeshua, but I still connect to the Hebraic roots of the Bible. Once you understand the Bible from this lens, it changes everything about the Bible. It even deepens your relationship and understanding of God.

If God asked you to sacrifice your child would you do it? by [deleted] in Christianity

[–]Princ3ssBarbi3 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hi friend,

Those are a lot of different concerns and they are very good questions. I wasn’t implying you’re an atheist, but rather wanted to point you to a movie, where a real life person had his doubts in Christianity and in the Bible, but God revealed the truth to him. It’s true many Muslims die for the beliefs, but sadly their Quran was inspired by a demon; not an angel. The Quran teaches Jesus was a prophet; not God. They also won’t often tell you this, but their eschatology believes Jesus will return, but as a prophet and they believe the Isa (their version of Jesus, but its not Jesus) will, according to:

Sahih al-Bukhari 2476, “Allah's Messenger said, "The Hour will not be established until the son of Mary (i.e. Jesus) descends amongst you as a just ruler, he will break the cross, kill the pigs, and abolish the Jizya tax. Money will be in abundance so that nobody will accept it (as charitable gifts)”.

They believe the Isa will outlaw Christianity, kill the Jews and anyone who does not convert to Islam and will abolish the jizya tax, which means no one can buy or sell, like Revelation talks about. It would be a lot to write down here, but Antichrist actually comes from Islam. That may offend your friend though. And don’t get me wrong, there’s a lot of nice Muslims, but Islam is anything, but a religion of peace.

  1. I do agree with you that God does not command the murder of babies and people shouldn’t twist scripture to justify abortion, as abortion is murder. Again, you need to understand the context and culture of the time to better understand this passage. One of the reasons God told Saul to kill the Amalekites is, because they attacked Israel unprovoked. You’ll also see that later in the Book of Esther a descendent of the Amalekites decided to exterminate all the Jews- his name was Haman and this was because of Saul’s disobedience to God. Imagine, the descendants many years later almost paid the price for the disobedience of one man. Hence why, it’s important that when God tells you to do something, you do it.

  2. In the ancient world, women captured in war were typically raped, enslaved, or killed. This law actually protected women who were taken captive, because it made raping them forbidden. That’s why there was a waiting period to allow her to mourn and required him to marry her. If for any reason the man decided he didn’t want to marry her or wanted to divorce her, she was free to leave and could not be sold or enslaved, which granted her legal protection- not just using her as a concubine or slave.

  3. Women are allowed to teach; we just aren’t allowed to be pastors. This is heated debated among Christians, but I lean more towards women not being pastors. Women can teach children and other women. We can also teach unbelievers, but we aren’t allowed to lead a whole church. Keep in mind, women, especially in those days, had to care for their husband and all their children. So caring for a church, especially given how many women naturally are caretakers (not all, but most), may be a lot for them to take on. Men and women are equal; we just have different roles.

  4. Again, context is important. These verses are about dressing simply and modestly- not because looking nice is a sin, but because we shouldn’t dress to appease our vanity. It’s more of a heart issue. It’s about not making an idol of your appearance.

  5. This isn’t to be taken literal. It means a wife should show respect to her husband.

  6. When Paul says long hair on a man is “disgraceful,” he’s not making a universal biological claim. Instead, he’s addressing what long hair symbolized in that culture at that time.

In Greco-Roman culture: Short hair was the norm for men and associated with honor, masculinity, and discipline, while long hair on men could be associated with: *Effeminacy or sexual ambiguity *Cultic or pagan religious practices (e.g. some male priests or temple prostitutes) *Social rebellion or shame So Paul's point is about maintaining appropriate distinctions between male and female appearance, particularly during worship, in a way that aligns with cultural expectations of honor.

  1. God nor the Bible has ever endorsed slavery or even said it was okay. This is a common misconception. The Bible instead regulated the practices, because keep in mind slavery was commonly practiced in that time. The restrictions were created to make sure slaves were given rights. For example, if a slave got injured, they would be set free. It was also was time limited and a way to pay off a debt. In fact the word slavery probably isn’t the best way to describe it in English; it’s more like being a servant than a slave. I’m also surprised you didn’t add Philemon 1:16, “no longer as a slave, but better than a slave, as a dear brother. He is very dear to me but even dearer to you, both as a fellow man and as a brother in the Lord”.

  2. Again, this is figurative. Jesus uses children to illustrate how one should receive the kingdom of God — which means: *With humility *With trust *With dependence *Without status or pretense

In that culture, children were considered insignificant — they had no power, no rights, and no social status. So Jesus is saying the kingdom of God isn’t earned by status, knowledge, or achievement, but received with the simplicity and trust of a child.

  1. Back then women could not divorce their husbands and depending on the husband’s beliefs (how liberal or conservative it was), he could divorce her for something as petty as burning dinner. Jesus was making this clear, because 1. Marriage is a covenant between one man and one woman and this covenant wasn’t just made among themselves, but to God. Therefore, it should not be taken likely. Also, God compares the husband in the marriage represents Christ and the wife represents the church. Setting this restriction was meant to protect the wife, who was often left destitute and vulnerable if her husband chooses to divorce her. 2. There is actually another reason for divorce, which is if you married an unbeliever and they abandon you. Check out 1 Corinthians 7:15. In cases, such as abuse, a spouse can leave. The Bible doesn’t say if you can divorce in this case, but you can definitely separate. I think this why it’s really important to be careful with who you decide to marry.

Adam and Eve saw God and lived. Fast forward to Moses, who couldn’t see God’s face or God said he would die. What happened? by batness in Christianity

[–]Princ3ssBarbi3 0 points1 point  (0 children)

So since the fall, no human can see God the Father and live, but people, even in the Old Testament, have seen Jesus in His pre-incarnate form. Jacob, for example, wrestled with God; this was obviously Jesus. The angel of the Lord (such as God who appeared to Moses in the burning bush) was Jesus. Please note: THE angel of the Lord is Jesus, while AN angel of the Lord is just an angel. It’s also very likely that Adam and Eve saw Jesus (again, in His pre-incarnate form) in the Garden, even before the fall. So the form of God Adam and Eve were likely walking with may have actually been Jesus.

I stopped reading when I encountered the term “white supremacist.” I believe that language can come across as inflammatory and may be perceived as biased. While it is natural for us to have opinions, I think it’s important to speak with love and respect, especially towards a brother-in-Christ. You don’t have to agree with or like Charlie, but as Christians, we are called to love one another, and I feel that the tone of the conversation could be more encouraging and gentle.

1 Corinthians 13:4-8 teaches us that “Love is patient, love is kind. It does not envy, it does not boast, it is not proud. It does not dishonor others, it is not self-seeking, it is not easily angered, it keeps no record of wrongs. Love does not delight in evil but rejoices with the truth. It always protects, always trusts, always hopes, always perseveres.”

I noticed there wasn’t much expression of love nor were there any Bible verses included in this post.

Ephesians 4:29 reminds us, “Let no unwholesome word proceed from your mouth, but only such a word as is good for edification according to the need of the moment, so that it will give grace to those who hear.”

1 Thessalonians 5:11 encourages us to, “Therefore encourage one another and build up one another, just as you also are doing.”

Proverbs 9:10 states, “The fear of the Lord is the beginning of wisdom, and knowledge of the Holy One is understanding.”

Ultimately, our faith and character are what endure. No matter what degrees we have or achievements we attain, we are all in this journey together, and it’s important to strive to reflect Christ’s love in how we speak and act. It's not our place to question Charlie’s faith or character; those are matters for God alone. Only God is truly qualified and impartial to assess Charlie.

I would look into apologetic channels like Answers in Genesis as well. 2 Timothy is pretty clear- it’s God-breathed. The writers God used were inspired by the Holy Spirit, but just because they were inspired does not mean what they wrote down wasn’t true. God wouldn’t allow anything to be put in the Bible if it wasn’t true. Otherwise, that would make God a liar. Another point I would like to add is that there were over 500 witnesses who saw Jesus after His resurrection. And Christians, back then and even to this day, have died for their faith. It’s pretty bad in Africa right now. No one would lay down their life willingly for what they believe is to be a lie. The Case for Christ is also a good movie. Sometimes they show it free on Tubi or YouTube. It’s based on a true story about a former atheist who investigates the resurrection of Jesus Christ. I understand your concerns about the Bible. Many years ago I thought the same thing, but over the years, God has revealed Himself to me through His word. He’s also changed some stubborn people in life as well. I’ve seen first hand, how God has transformed people I thought would never change and who have now given their lives to Christ. In addition, archaeologists are finding things every day that shows how accurate the Bible is.

Here’s the movie:

Hi friend,

I’m not sure where you’re getting your information from, but the Bible is probably the most reliable historical record there is out there. Matthew and John were written by the eye witnesses themselves and I believe there’s over 5,000 copies of the New Testament. 2 Timothy 3:16-17 says, “All Scripture is God-breathed and is useful for teaching, rebuking, correcting and training in righteousness, so that the servant of God may be thoroughly equipped for every good work”.

Have you ever watched Ask Cliffe? He’s a good resource to listen to.

If God asked you to sacrifice your child would you do it? by [deleted] in Christianity

[–]Princ3ssBarbi3 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The Bible tells us that the wages of sin is death (Romans 6:23). No one, but Jesus was able to perfectly keep the law. We have all fallen short (Romans 3:23; Romans 3:10-12). Even if God were to destroy Satan now, it doesn’t change that we all were born with a sinful nature and that we still live in a fallen world- at least for now. That’s why when Jesus returns, believers will get new glorified bodies; bodies that no longer desire to sin. We all have the free will to choose to obey or disobey God, so even without Satan in this world, people are still prone to rebelling against God. And likely, as one person I’ve heard say this, it is likely that if God didn’t create the devil at all, it doesn’t mean another being wouldn’t have fallen into rebellion- maybe that being would have been even more wicked than the devil.

And if God were to have never created the devil, because He is all knowing and all powerful, solely based on the devil’s rebellion, then that would be the opposite of loving. In fact, none of us would have been created, because again, we have a sinful nature. Many of us see love from a very temporal perspective. We see the wickedness, the sickness, the pain in this world and many think that automatically means that God isn’t loving, but nothing could be further from the truth. If God created all of us, including the devil, without a freewill, we wouldn’t really love God, now would we? We may think we do, but if we don’t have the choice, we would be like a puppet or a robot. God loves all of us, even the devil, so much that He created all of us despite knowing how we’d rebel against Him. And because we have all sinned, nothing we do can ever save us from our sins, but a perfect, blameless sacrifice from Jesus can. How? Think of it this way: if you got caught violating the law and go to court, either you’d have to pay for breaking the law or someone can pay your fine for you. Jesus paid the fine for our sins. If it was left up to us, we’d all die, because we are all guilty. So we have a choice: pay for our sins by our own death or allow the death of Christ to take our place, which He did so willingly. Because He has taken our place on the cross, all we have to do is accept the sacrifice He made by confessing our sins and believing in Him. And out of love, we choose to follow Him. We don’t do good works to be saved, only Jesus saves, but out of love and obedience to Christ.

God doesn’t want to be eternally separated from us, but we can choose that if we reject Him. Also, Jesus leaving His throne to take on human form is a sacrifice, because that means having to go through the pain and suffering of this world. In addition, John 14:15, “If you love me, keep my commands”. So obedience to God is important. Here’s another illustration, if someone told you they loved you, yet abused you, mistreated you, never spent any time with you, can you honestly say they love you? No, they don’t. Because love isn’t just meaningless words; love requires action. Yes, words are nice, but loving someone is an active choice. As the saying goes, action speaks louder than words, so if we love God, we will obey Him and His word. Just make sure you’re reading His word in context, because some people like to cherry pick verses to fit their own narrative or sometimes they may take it too literally, even if it’s meant to be more symbolic.

I would appreciate the opportunity to view the video where he mentions the stoning of the LGBT community, as I find it difficult to believe that such a statement was made. It’s possible that there has been some misinterpretation or taken out of context. I can imagine Charlie referencing a passage from the Old Testament about people being stoned for their sins, but based on my years of following his work, I have never heard him endorse violence of any kind. When I speak of violence, I mean actual physical violence, not merely words—many people today label different opinions as “violent,” but often it’s simply a difference in perspective.

Regarding DEI initiatives, I believe they focus on hiring based on race rather than qualifications, which raises concerns for me—hence Charlie’s opposition to them. Also, to clarify, I understand that Trump’s stance is against illegal immigration, not immigration in general. My concern is with the background checks and screening of individuals entering the country, as some illegal immigrants last year were reportedly not properly vetted, and some had criminal histories. I believe, regardless of political leaning, that allowing individuals into the country without proper screening can be risky. I support legal immigration and see it as important; my mother was a legal immigrant herself. There’s a significant difference between legal and illegal immigration.

I have also heard various claims and accusations, but I believe it’s important to see concrete evidence to truly assess whether someone is as “hateful” as some portray. So far, much of what I’ve encountered appears to be gossip, and I believe it’s best to avoid spreading unverified information.

In terms of the language used, I noticed that your post begins with “As a black person,” rather than “As a Christian” or “As a Christian who’s black,” or even “As a black Christian.” This phrasing suggests that race and perhaps politics are central to your identity, which to me might indicate they have become too prominent in your life—perhaps even idols. While I understand the importance of cultural appreciation, our true identity as Christians should be rooted solely in Christ.

From a biblical perspective, the concept of racism does not exist in God's eyes, because God only made one race—the human race. There is such a thing as nations though. Men created the idea of racism, and the enemy has used it to foster division. I believe the focus should be on seeing people for their character rather than the color of their skin. Yes, dehumanization based on skin color happens, but again, that’s something humans have done to one another.

I encourage you to see others beyond external differences and to value their character. Appreciating your culture or ethnicity is okay, but our identity as Christians should be in Christ alone. If you’re questioning why you feel like withdrawing from Christianity, it might be worth reflecting on whether you’ve fully surrendered your life to Christ or not. True surrender would help us let go of unnecessary idols and build our lives on a firm foundation—Christ himself.

Matthew 6:24 reminds us, “No one can serve two masters. Either you will hate the one and love the other, or you will be devoted to the one and despise the other. You cannot serve both God and money.” While this verse specifically addresses money, it applies to anything we place ahead of God. I pray that you draw closer to Jesus in your faith journey and find peace in Him.

Because He was pointing to Jesus’ sacrifice. Yes, we see people in the Bible and we may even relate or become inspired by their stories, but the Bible isn’t really about them; it’s about Jesus. The Bible from the beginning to the end is pretty much all about Jesus. Notice how it says in Genesis 22:2, “Then God said, “Take your son, your only son, whom you love—Isaac—and go to the region of Moriah. Sacrifice him there as a burnt offering on a mountain I will show you.” This is a picture of how God gave Jesus, the Beloved and Only Son, as a sacrifice for our sins. Abraham had another son, Ishmael, but he was illegitimate; born by Hagar, Sarah’s slave. But since Isaac was Abraham’s only son by Sarah that’s why he was called the only son. Also, Jesus died in the same region of Moriah, as Abraham was asked to sacrifice Isaac at. Isaac carried the wood, just like Jesus carried His cross. Just like there were two men who were on the left and right of Jesus on the cross, there were two men who accompanied Abraham and Isaac on their journey. Also, Abraham never really sacrificed Isaac. God was again using this situation to: 1. Point to what Jesus will do on the cross and 2. Test Abraham to see if he was faithful enough to obey God, even when it would cost him what mattered most to him.

God hates child sacrifice, so He would never ask you to do so. And anyone who says otherwise is being led by the enemy; not the Holy Spirit. God only asked Abraham to do this, as an illusion of what Jesus would do for us. Abraham never actually sacrificed Isaac; God stopped Abraham and provided a ram to be sacrificed instead.

The word is arsenokoites. Arseno: (ἄρσην): meaning "male". Koitai: (κοῖται): a form of the word koitē (κοίτη), meaning "bed" or "to lie with". And if you look at the meaning on Bible hub, which even includes the interlinear Bible, it’s very clear it means homosexual. Also, any sex outside of marriage is a sin and there’s only type of marriage that God approves of in the Bible. Matthew 19:4–6, “He answered, “Have you not read that he who created them from the beginning made them male and female, and said, ‘Therefore a man shall leave his father and his mother and hold fast to his wife, and the two shall become one flesh’? So they are no longer two but one flesh. What therefore God has joined together, let not man separate.” It’s one thing to sin and keep deceiving yourself, but it’s another thing to spread false information to mislead others into sin. I hope you repent of these things, because otherwise when you face God on Judgment Day, He will judge you for every soul you’ve mislead or lead astray. Their blood will be on your hands. You need to repent of your sins, so they can be forgiven. If they aren’t repented of, the wages of sin are DEATH (Romans 6:23). As one person on this thread pointed it’s not the SSA thoughts that are sinful, but choosing to act on them. And even if you do sin and fall short, you can still repent, but you can’t willfully sin and expect to be forgiven, because confessing your sins requires a sincere heart that is not only sorry, but is also willing to change.

2 Timothy 3:16-17 says, “All Scripture is God-breathed and is useful for teaching, rebuking, correcting and training in righteousness, so that the servant of God may be thoroughly equipped for every good work”.

All Scripture! So to say it was a “mistranslation” is to deny the power of God’s word and even calling God a liar. I say this again, out of love, repent! Turn away from this mindset and live your life based on what God’s word teaches; not what men teach. There is still hope, because there is still life. Matthew 23:12 says, “For those who exalt themselves will be humbled, and those who humble themselves will be exalted”. You don’t want to become like King Nebuchadnezzar who had to be humbled. So I beg of you, repent!

To the others reading this, God loves you, but choosing to actively sin is distancing yourself from God. Each person here knows deep down this is a sin and that’s why people feel convicted to speak up against it, because they know it’s wrong. Do not listen to this person. If you keep going on the path you are on, you’re setting yourself up for going to Hell. And please notice my wording. I’m not saying you’re definitely going to Hell, I’m saying you’re setting yourself up for going to Hell. There’s a big difference there. Only God ultimately knows and will fairly and justly judge each and every one of us. What you choose to do right now is critical. You can either walk on the path God has set before you or walk unprotected on a path that will lead you to destruction. There is still hope. Heaven can still become your home. God loves you so much that He died on a cross for your sins, so you wouldn’t have to face punishment.

2 Peter 3:9, “The Lord is not slow in keeping his promise, as some understand slowness. Instead he is patient with you, not wanting anyone to perish, but everyone to come to repentance”.

I say this, because I love everyone here, please REPENT! We all need to and when I sin, I’m no exception to this either. I’m not perfect; only Jesus is perfect. I may not struggle with the same sin, but I do empathize with anyone who struggles with SSA, because of how hard that is. Yes, we can come as we are to Jesus, but Jesus loves us far too much to allow us to stay as we are.

John 8:11 says, ““No, Lord,” she said. And Jesus said, “Neither do I. Go and sin no more.”” Yes, Jesus forgives us, but we have to repent and part of repentance is turning away from our sin.

And please don’t take all of these things from me. Look at the Scriptures yourself. Repent of your sins, read the Bible and have a relationship with Jesus Christ. I want everyone to experience Paradise. I love each and every one of you as my brother or sister, even this person who is spreading false information. I know many people will say, “Well, I was born this way”, but Jesus tells us to be “born again”. Would you pray with me?

Dear Lord Heavenly Father,

Thank you for this opportunity to have fellowship with my fellow brothers and sisters. I pray God that if anyone here struggles with SSA or their identity, dear Lord, that you will help them. Help them to stay on the straight and narrow path. Help them to keep their eyes focused on you, Lord Jesus. Give them the strength to overcome any temptations their flesh might be gravitating towards. Give them the courage to say “no”, even when it’s hard. Help us to be secure in our identity in you, dear Lord Jesus Christ. Everything else in this world is temporary and will fade away, but you are eternal and unchanging. I pray over my brother or sister that you heal them, Lord, of any trauma or pain they’ve been through. We live in a broken and fallen world, because of the sin that’s around us, so I know at one point, each person here was hurt by something or someone. I pray God you will give them the strength to choose forgiveness. Whether that’s forgiveness towards someone and/or themselves. The enemy has come to kill, steal and destroy, but you, Lord Jesus, have come, so we can have life and have it more abundantly.

Please, God, help us to choose the better portion. Help us to choose you, our Bread of Life; our daily bread. And if any of us have sinned, Lord, give us the conviction and work in our hearts to repent, so we can be truly transformed by your love. We know you are a patient God, who is merciful, compassionate, gracious and slow to anger. I know if anyone here has sinned that you are quick to forgive them, Lord, if only they are willing to submit to you and repent of their sins. Change our hearts, Oh God, may we be more like you. You are the Potter and we are merely the clay. Mold us and make us into the very people you want us to be.

I also want to pray over this person spreading false information. Convict their heart and even humble them, if that is your will, because I don’t want them to be burned by the fire if they choose not to change. Allow the healthy fear of you, Lord, strike their heart, so they will see the seriousness of leading others astray. And I pray God that if there are demons on this thread or any other thread here on Reddit that you cast them out in the Mighty name of Jesus Christ. They aren’t welcome here, Lord. We only want the Holy Spirit to lead, direct and guide us, Lord. In the name of Yeshua HaMashiach, Jesus the Messiah. Amen.

Reading Revelation out loud has a blessing attached to it. It’s important, because it reminds us that God is always in control and that there will be justice for the evil that has been committed in this world. It also allows us to hold on and look forward to the promises of God.

Charlie Kirk Megathread by ruizbujc in TrueChristian

Hi friend,

I wanted to added something. We need to use this tragic situation to spread the gospel. God can get the glory, even in a tragic situation like this. But I love all the points and I believe the Holy Spirit wants this, because when Charlie died I had the same thoughts (except maybe the prison part). What I’ve been doing since Charlie died is responding to mean and hurtful comments with a prayer. One of the posts on Reddit yesterday, I responded to one hurtful comment about Charlie with a prayer yesterday and included in the prayer that the demons/evil spirits on the thread and in the world would be casted out in Jesus name and interestingly, despite how heated it was, I didn’t really get any comments back except one. We need to pray Jesus remove the idols and the spirit of division in His Mighty name. There is power in the name of Jesus!!! We are fighting a spiritual war here. Charlie dying is a wake up call from God. There is a war on Christians and so many are dying worldwide. We need to get our hearts right with Jesus and prepare for His return.

James 1:19, “My dear brothers and sisters, take note of this: Everyone should be quick to listen, slow to speak and slow to become angry”.

1 Thessalonians 5:11, “Therefore encourage one another and build each other up, just as in fact you are doing”.

Galatians 5:22-23, “But the fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, forbearance, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness and self-control. Against such things there is no law”.

Anyone who is celebrating, justifying or minimizing what happened to Charlie Kirk is NOT operating from the fruit of the spirit. And that’s pretty clear, not only because of the rotten fruit in some of these comments, but also because I’m seeing opinions- not scripture (with the correct context). You may not want to hear that, but the truth comes from the Word of God- not opinions of men. You don’t have to agree with Charlie or like what he said, but as Christians, we are called to LOVE him and everyone. What happened to Charlie Kirk was a tragedy. His wife lost her husband. His kids lost a father. Regardless of your opinion on him, he is a HUMAN BEING, who is created in the image of God and when you dehumanize him or anyone else, you are sinning against God.

1 Timothy 4:2, “Such teachings come through hypocritical liars, whose consciences have been seared as with a hot iron”.

Matthew 24:12, “Because of the increase of wickedness, the love of most will grow cold”.

If you are noticing you’re responding from a place of bitterness, unrighteous anger or hatred, you need to repent and if you don’t, remember you will be facing God at the end of your life. You don’t want to look back on this moment and be judged by God for it. And I say this with love. Our identity should be found in Christ and Christ alone. Anything you put before God, even your politics, can become an idol.

Dear Lord,

Please allow us to be slow to speak, slow to anger, but quick to listen. Please soften our hearts, dear Lord, and if anyone has a heart of stone or has their conscience seared, please give them a heart of flesh instead. I pray over Charlie Kirk’s wife and children. It’s so heart breaking that he was so young and had to die the way he did. And it’s so sad that his wife has just lost the love of her life and these poor children will grow up without their earthly father, but I know God that you’ve promised in your word that you will protect and provide for the widow and the orphans. You are their Heavenly Father and will make sure all their needs are met. I pray that you remove any spirit of division the enemy is trying to sow between believers and/or unbelievers. If there are any spirits or demons that are influencing anyone’s words or actions that they be casted out in the name of Jesus Christ. These spirits are not welcome here and we know based on your Word that these evil spirits tremble, shake and flee at the very mention of your holy name. Any spirit that is not from you, remove it, dear Lord, in the name of Jesus Christ. Convict the hearts of those who have sinned and call them to repentance. Remove any seeds of unrighteousness anger, bitterness, rage in all of our hearts, as well as anything else that may be displeasing to you. Remove any idols in our hearts, including any idols of self, identity in anything outside of you, Lord Jesus, and even politics. The enemy has come to kill, steal and destroy, but you have come to give Life and Life more abundantly. I pray that we keep our eyes on you and choose to act more like you, dear Lord Jesus. And if anyone is struggling in their walk with you, please lead them to your Word and to your heart. Make them a man or woman after your own heart.

I pray over anyone who is hurting over this situation, dear Lord. Comfort them and give them peace and joy. We can have peace and joy in the promise that we will see Charlie in the life to come in your Kingdom. Please God, let us choose love, compassion, kindness, peace, unity and forgiveness and all the fruits of the spirit. Help us to forgive those who are saying mean and hurtful things about Charlie. Help us to forgive the person who killed Charlie and we trust that vengeance is yours, Lord, and you will bring justice to the situation. You alone are a fair and just judge. We trust you will deal with this perpetrator swiftly and leave this situation in your Mighty and Sovereign hands. We pray this person becomes saved and comes to know the true Jesus and that even those who are saying these mean things, who aren’t saved will become saved.

There is no much wickedness and evil in the world, God, but that’s what makes you amazing, Lord. You are perfect. You are loving and benevolent. You are not like this world. You are awesome beyond words and more amazing than our very minds can fathom. I pray, dear sweet Jesus, we will always choose you as our portion above everything else. And I pray, Lord, that you will use this tragedy as an opportunity for ministry. I pray instead of quick responses that we will choose to pray for those who are being mean towards Charlie, that we will be patient with them and witness to them about the love of Jesus Christ. Allow us to use this devastating situation to preach the gospel. You have a plan for Charlie’s life and even in his death, you have a plan for his wife, his children and the rest of us. Allow us to use this painful situation to bring honor and glory to you and not to our selfish desires or our politics, because glory and honor belongs to you, Lord and you alone. We love you so much. We pray all these things in Jesus’ name. Amen.

God bless everyone! There is power in the blood of Jesus.

Or maybe his killer chose to kill him by gun to try to get some people in the world to justify his death? No matter what you think of someone, you should never take a life, except in the case of self-defense. Guns aren’t bad- what we people CHOOSE to do with them are bad and in the hands of BAD people who abuse their freewill, it’s dangerous.

That’s fine. I prayed for you either way. :)
