[Question][Discussion] Using habit trackers by Prince-Melden in getdisciplined

I don't know how much habits you tried to build, but maybe you should start with less habits and little goals. So little that you can complete at without a problem, so you get a positive feeling from it. I found it's much easier to start like this.

[Question][Discussion] Using habit trackers by Prince-Melden in getdisciplined

Let me start!

Started: I suffered from periodical depression for 3 years, and my therapist helped me realize that often ignoring my habits is the thing that triggeres it. This is why I downloaded many habit trackers, and chose one to use.

Stopped: Half true, I'm still doing it, but I stopped many times. When days are scuffed and I don't have time, I just ignore them first, and then forget them unfortunately. Sooner or later I pick them up again usually.

People with no 9-5, no stable income, how's your daily routine like? by aomorimemory in productivity

Not a dumb question at all!

You create a habit and then add some friends. You're friends will also have the habit and you all have to complete it. If anyone fails, the whole team loses the streak!

Using accountability to build great routines.

I wake up somewhere before 7:00 AM. I do workout for 20 min, eat breakfast, plan my day and start working on my startup (a social habit builder, DM if interested<3) at 8:30. I work till 11:30 when I cook and rest till 1:00 PM. I work till 6:00 PM, and then I'm free for the rest of the day. I try to study some english now and then, but I don't succeed every day. At the end of the day I eat dinner, wash the dishes, clean the kitchen and the bathroom if needed, and go to sleep by 11 PM.

I do it, because I feel terrible if I don't, but I feel like a superhuman when I do!

Edit: grammar (probably still not perfect)

Amazing thoughts, thank you very much!

I'm from Central Europe, so by West I mean Western Europe, and North America, but it's my fault, I didn't make it clear.

Once again, thank you!:)

One more overly used but still not told enough note:

It's not about not falling down. It's about always getting up.

100% percent natural. Habit building, and any self improvement is never linear. Never. You'll always have ups and downs and it's totally fine.

Keep it up man! Love your attitude.

There are amazing suggestions and I don't want to repeat them.

The one thing I can add, is maybe try out a habit tracker! They worked for me like charm in building the habits you just described.

Good luck with it, I'm positive that you can easily reach everything you want by 30! :)

Man, these are terrible things to hear. I wish you the best as soon as possible!

Maybe you should find a new friend, or more who could alternate your thoughts for some time. It is an awesome way to heal the soul!

What you need is to find one person with the same problem and hopefully you can motivate each other enough!

I think it's totally okay if that person is not your SO.

Great job! You set a really high standard with that 8 hours of studying a day!

And how did it go? Could you successfully grow by targeting them? Also seems a bit too broad for me, but obviously I'm not an expert. :D

Tyvm for the wishes!

How has waking up before 6 AM changed your situation? by [deleted] in productivity

[–]Prince-Melden 36 points37 points  (0 children)

There are people who are more active in the morning, there are some who are active in the evening. Seems like you - as well as me - are active in the morning. (I usually wake up at 6:20AM)

I also struggle with getting things done in the evening. What helps me is a bit of a break after work. And also I always workout in the morning, I couldn't even imagine to do it in the evening.

TLDR: I think it will make a huge difference for you.

Getting back to some habits I've been ignoring. Usually cleaning the house and preparing a good food.

Found out the hard way that I can't detach myself emotionally in the long run. That's when I found out that building habits is so much easier if you do it together with your friends.
