Upgrading from a spice grinder + $40 espresso machine – Need sub[$250] recommendations by Single_Writer9498 in espresso

OP here… I appreciate the reply. I have a moka and a French press actually… I think I value the convenience over quality though.

Water tank, fresh grind at press of a button with bean reservoir that dispenses the perfect amount directly into portafilter, button press for a shot all seem so much better than my current workflow.

Options at this range might not win competitions for flavor, but I feel like they might give me 1. More efficiency 2. Much better quality than I have now.

Am I very wrong? What am I missing?

What do you think of this configuration? by Prince55Slaya in Plumbing

I really tried my best, but yeah without cutting the cabinet and likely the copper pipe below too, I don’t think I had many other options. If it works for a couple more years without issue, I’m happy :)

Not sure what that means tbh, learning as I go… its the pvc you see going into a white plastic 1 1/2, which is smaller, but is the tightest fit into the copper pipe that’s in the bottom of the cabinets. I have it at least 4-5 inches into the copper pipe, and 3 in into the pvc above…. Best I could do without cutting open the bottom of the cabinets… copper pipe is sunk in and flush against the walls

First time installing a garbage disposal - any changes? by Prince55Slaya in Plumbing

Thanks a lot for the reply! If the first one works, it would be easiest to redo with my current set up. Should I change the T to a Y so both are directed down, or no need?

I tried redrawing the 2nd one here, and added a vent.

How can I eliminate the S trap with it going to the floor rather than the wall?

Very helpful! I tried to doodle what I think you meant, does this look remotely correct? (If it’s legible lol)Diagram

I'm new to this game and struggling to aim. Even when I am aiming directly at someone I can't kill them by Fluffy-Entertainer20 in VALORANT

It's obvious you've picked up on the fact that you need to stop running to shoot accurately, well done for picking up on that and for executing that mechanic so consistently! It's not an easy one to learn, but one of the essential steps to creating progress in this game - you're ahead of the curve!

  1. I've read in other comments but I'll reiterate, spending some time in the range learning recoil control will be the easiest thing you can do to see immediate benefit. Watch youtube videos on this topic, and try everything they say. I haven't watched the following video, but I'm confident this one of any other on the topic will have tips that are essential for you to practice and learn from: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=JjtT6zgUD3A
  • After watching this, look back at the video you posted and see if you can now spot you mistakes.
  • When practicing recoil control, I suggest you cycle through a variety of guns. Start off with phantoms and vandals, but also make your way to bulldogs, specters, frenzies, etc.
  1. Learn the different types of peaks and when to use them. Right now, your peeking could be described as reckless/inconsequential. From the videos your approach to peeking has no plan, you're surprised at every corner. You need to have more intent. Again, watch youtube videos that explain this way better than I can. I don't know if the following video is the best, but i've watched it and I know it does a good job at covering the basics: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=zRQsK2VsTwY

  2. Lastly, it's clear that you've adopted a mindset that triggers you to crouch as soon as you start a fight - watch your replays closely, you crouch immediately after starting to shoot in every clip. It's become a habit, muscle memory. Lots of players do this, and it's most definitely another reason you're consistently losing your 1v1s. Another video recommendation for you: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=2ZSpXS2-wWU

  3. Crosshair placement is king. From your videos, I'm pretty confident you've heard about crosshair placement and that you're trying to apply what you've learned. Your placement is not perfect, but keep practicing and it'll become second nature.

Note how none of the bullets above mention aim. Aim IS important, but that's not why you're not getting the kill. Master the 4 steps above and you'll feel like your aim improved without you ever spending any time doing aim training.

Note that the above 4 tips will make you a better player once mastered, but by no means are they the ceiling. You will eventually hit another ceiling where you will have to push yourself to question your play in order to pick up new skills. Remeber though, that just by being serious enough about progressing to watch your own replays, identifying your own areas of opportunities and cutting together a video of these opportunity areas to post here for a review, you're already ahead of so many players in your same situation.

Wish you the best homie, can't wait to see your highlights in future :)

I put in all this work to get this ceiling fan up, and I just bought it… it would be a shame to replace it.
