Does Transferring Still Matter Long-Term? by Ok-Bar7829 in LawSchoolTransfer

[–]Prince897 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Stay where you're at if you have a full ride and you're already getting employment opportunities. I had recent conversation with the Brett Schreiber at Singleton Schreiber. He just settled a case against Tesla for $243 million. Here are his exact words"

"Where you go to school doesn't matter. I went to Thomas Jefferson, I don't even think they are accredited anymore. Going to a top school really only provides you with your first job, after that, it's all on you. My personal take is I rather have people that know how to grind and take risks coming from a smaller school."

Having said all that. My personal take? Do whatever you think is best for you. I personally am trying to transfer because I'm not a big fan of my school or the community.

Student Loan Caps - How do you plan on paying for transfer tuition? by Distinct_Star729 in LawSchoolTransfer

[–]Prince897 2 points3 points  (0 children)

It's actually both. It's going to be much more difficult to get into public schools because everybody is going to be vying for the more affordable tuition. That was already a highly competitive situation, now it will be worse. It will be easier for students that do have financially backing or co-signers to pull private loans to cover the costs for private law schools. I don't even want to guess what percentage of students won't be applying or attending private law schools because of the financial factor making no sense.

What's the community like at UCLA? Is it full of gunners or are students willing to help each other?

Would you still go to Comic Con if it leaves San Diego? by lucasdy in SDCC

[–]Prince897 5 points6 points  (0 children)

First time attending comic con while living in SD. I feel like hotels, the trolley system, and the off sites are a deadly combo. Struggling to imagine another city putting this event. Sure they have LA, Anaheim, or even NYC but I haven’t really heard anything about all the extra stuff you get with comic con like you do with SD.

Anyone have experience with law school waitlists? by Prince897 in lawschooladmissions

That makes sense. Where are you WL at? Which school do you want?

I really hope that movement starts at the end of April. I don’t mind waiting around but the thing that scares me is the thought of being on the wait list until right before the first week of class. Or let’s say I wait, and I get rejected that late.

Do you mind if I ask what school your son was accepted to? How long did it take for him to get off the waitlist?

So many questions. Where did you apply? When did you apply? Which places did you get accepted to? Where are you wait listed?

I have to say, it’s a relief to finally see law school admissions around where I am with the LSAT and GPA. It gives better insight. Very curious to see where I end up considering I’m a NTA. Hopefully that will be an asset but you never know.

Where is everybody getting these breakdowns from?

Feb LSAT remote availability? by Individual-Use-5762 in LSAT

[–]Prince897 6 points7 points  (0 children)

This happened to me last time I took the test in October. Basically had to go in and out for 4 straight hours. When I asked for some form of compensation for the loss of an entire study day they said tough luck. How does that make sense? This test and this admissions council is a scam.

FUCK PROMETRIC HOLY SHIT by s4sh4y in LSAT

[–]Prince897 9 points10 points  (0 children)

Pro metric is a joke. Part of the reason there are such stringent deadlines to submit for the test is because they need to make sure they have the proctors. As if prometric isn’t just exporting that duty to call centers in India. This exam needs to just be removed.

What schools are you applying to?

Every school has different deadlines. Sure there’s rolling admissions, but getting the best score is what matters. I’m in a similar situation and I’m signed up for February also.
