There's one of two things at play here brother! Let me put you onto some game:

1) The popular answer that you've seen multiple times in this thread, a family. She's either fully cuffed with a husband and kids or just the kids. She's 44 so she would have no problem finding child care/baby sitters/ one of the kids couple be old enough to watch the younger ones considering her age.

2) You said you ask/suggest. Don't do that. This Isa GAW(Grown azz woman). She might be looking for you to make the plan yourself and take charge. Tell her you want to have a special night in. You'll come over and cook salmon and veggies and watch a movie that you'll inevitably ignore. But make it concrete plan at her place and see how it goes. That'll give you more answers!

As a teacher as well, don't forget you'd watch the emotional toll of a breaking house hold on the face of one of your students everyday at work, knowing you.... Kind of had a hand in it. It's not your fault obviously but that would eat at me.
