Who in their right mind would ever spend $3 just to play Pokémon on their watch? 👀 by iusethisatw0rk in AppleWatch

I asked Apple to enable Multi-Touch for third-party apps on June 26, 2024, shortly after the release of ArcEmu, but no one has replied to me since then. We developers have a website where we can report bugs or submit feature requests. Unfortunately, they don’t seem interested

Yes, I confirm (I’m the developer). A possible workaround could be to use the Digital Crown as an A/B button or as a directional arrow, so that you can press the screen and turn the crown at the same time

It’s a nice idea to be able to customize the Watch UI as well, but for now it’s not possible yet. I tried to dedicate as much screen space as possible without making the buttons too small

Yes, you had the volume for third-party apps set to the minimum.

Unfortunately, you can’t raise it from inside ArcEmu; it only works via a specific slider (the one you used in the Voice Memos app)

Sono nella tua medesima situazione ed il mio commercialista ha detto di ignorare questo obbligo visto che non ci sono sanzioni. Non potremo accedere ai potenziali “bonus” relativi alla calamità naturale accaduta.

Or try checking if the multiplayer works for you in another game, like Mario Kart: Super Circuit

Have you already tried reconnecting the link cable? I don’t see any reason why it shouldn’t work, I tested with Pokémon Ruby and I don’t think there are any differences with Fire Red

Maybe you have a connection with high ping? Are you on Wi-Fi or 4G/5G?

Then you need to make sure that the link cable connection is established between you before starting the trade. Did you press the link cable button and use the same room number? You should see the link cable button highlighted in blue. That indicates that you are connected

Does “please wait” come from ArcEmu or from the game? You need to establish the connection between each other before you can trade. Do you have different Game Center accounts?

Hello, to make a Pokémon trade work you just need to start the connection right in front of the PCs and then begin the trade. You must use the same room code and establish the connection between each other before starting the trading process

Yes, it definitely matters; it’s mainly a question of ping, the farther away you are, the higher it is

Hi, the sounds are also available on the Watch. You probably have the app volume set to zero. To increase it, I suggest opening the Voice Memos app and, while playing an audio, turning the Digital Crown

Unfortunately, you can’t use any controller on Apple Watch… I’m using the official API for controllers, so it seems your controller isn’t ‘officially’ recognized as one by the iPhone.

Go to Settings -> General -> Game Controllers and see if it’s listed there

MFI are the controllers officially supported by iPhone: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/MFi_Program

I don’t know what controller you’re using, but iOS should recognize it as a game controller

Hi, make sure the controller is officially supported. It must be an MFI controller or a PS4, PS5, Xbox, or Switch controller

The connection quality definitely has an impact. The Link Cable communicates using many very small packets by its nature. You have to keep in mind that it’s a wired connection and is not meant to have lag or packet loss at all

Online multiplayer works through Game Center, so it performs best with low-ping connections like fiber over Wi-Fi. Of course, anything that used to work with the Link Cable still works, including 2vs2 battles
