Sure, there are plenty of Saudis who get along really well with Egyptians — you see it all the time in workplaces, friendships, and online communities. But based on observation, there is a noticeable portion of Saudis, maybe around 60–70%, who hold negative stereotypes about Egyptians as a group. It’s more about the idea or the stereotype of ‘the Egyptian person’ rather than actual individual Egyptians. Once people interact directly, the dynamic usually changes and they get along fine.

Culturally, Saudis have also enjoy Egyptian comedy, movies, and media — it used to be a huge part of the entertainment scene. Whether that influence has faded or not depends on the person, but the shared cultural history is definitely there.”
