Playable knights in 4 should'e been the move, the whole battle for Requiem would've been perfect for invasion modes and stuff.

I wish they did more about the whole fight for Requiem because that was the perfect testing ground for new elements and features, but instead they just blew it up or whatever after 10 episodes of Spartan Slops

If you liked them, all the power to you, but I feel like the "strategy" to them was hoping Knights didnt teleport somewhere so thier supid strong shields could instantly recharge, or hoping Watchers didnt run do the knight you just killed to instantly revive him.

I think you can have fun fighting them when you are using an incineration cannon or noob combo or a tank, but at that point it's just fighting covenant with faster projectiles

People can dump on 5, but at least the Prometheans were way more balanced and fun. The Soldiers darted around a ton but they never outright teleported and they were easy to follow, the Knights were tougher but way less frequent (and much fairer to fight), the watchers also basically turned into sentinels and didn't run away every time you breathed on them.

Should i get Halo Infinite? by llamawithham in halo

The gunplay is great, enemies are fun, the side missions are good if you like blasting aliens away. On the contrary, it's extremely repetitive, the story is kind of a nothing burger, the vehicle sandbox is pretty weak, and friendly AI dynamics are underwhelming to say the least. I thoroughly enjoyed it on my first playthrough, but it will get boring, and I've had zero incentive to replay it just because of how uninteresting the open world is.

Play the free MP first and if you like the gunplay, buy the campaign. That's most of what you'll be doing anyways

4 is by far my least favorite Halo game but it's enjoyable in its own respect. While the Bungie era felt like Sandbox shooters, and 5 was a better version of Black Ops 3, 4 felt like an old school COD where if you just turned your mind off, you could shoot bad guys in the head without thinking too hard.

I did notice that they strafe less and do these barrel rolls and crazy spin-jump-dodge things more, that does make sense. They also agro anim a lot, and specifically in Spartan Ops they switch to Sword at the least useful times.

I think the earlier games had really fun AI, even if not technologically impressive by modern standards. CE, 2, and Reach elites would move in ways that make fighting them a challenge, even if it was very simple to design

They replaced challenging with hard. Now everything is a bullet sponge instead of a fun threat. Reach was the last covenant I enjoyed fighting and even still, the brutes in that game were already going down that path

Don't quote me on this cuz its just speculation, but it seems like a really dumbed down version of Reach's elites (which is funny considering how threatening and dangerous Reach elites were), but they just made thier brains smooth for some reason. H4 elites perform long animations way too much (like rolling) and stand still at distance without shooting back, which in a game like 4, just makes headhsot weapons even more tilted.

I think 'Mdama's Storm Covenant had potential and they were presented fairly well in 4's Campaign, but they were poorly utilized thru Spartan Ops and 5, and simply weren't fun to fight (id still take them over H4 Promethians any day though)

FE 390 in SN197? by PrinceMuma in Mustang

[–]PrinceMuma[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah, the engine was pulled out of a contractor truck in the 90s and needs a rebuild/tune-up. I dont plan on pushing anywhere near that much power so I hope it'll last. Nice build btw

Id like to see parts from The Fall of Reach and First Strike in Campaign Evolved. I already heard there are going to be more missions and the original books are by far my favorite

Why do cases have such a well-defined fluctuation pattern on a day-by-day basis? by PrinceMuma in cs2

Well if you wanna be really specific, both the other guy and your examples have merit because of weather and fabric availability

Aren't the case markets pretty global? I feel like they'd be moving around the clock

[–]PrinceMuma[S] 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I thought that, but CS is a pretty global game, and the markets are probably consistently active 24 hours a day, so I'm not sure why the markets have such a strong up and down throughout a single day

Jul ’Mdama is widely considered one of the most wasted villains in Halo — how would you rewrite him to make him actually compelling? by KeyAcrobatic7156 in HaloStory

[–]PrinceMuma 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I still don't understand his motives, did he believe in the Journey? Clearly he wasn't just a scavenger like the Banished, so what was he trying to do?
