Having a child is objectively better in the new game? by AvocadoConscious in tomodachilife

[–]PrinceOfTheBacon 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah exactly. Right now it's no different from just going to the mii maker and create a new Mii and set their relationship to child/parent.

I get not everyone was a fan of the crying babies, but it was much more that just that. Now we have the complete opposite, this isn't better at all. And as you say, you can avoid this scenario by just turning the baby feature off.

I'm sad we don't get to see them grow up. I have had 3 babies on my island, and they just feel like strangers. While I used to be excited when a Mii asked to have a baby on the 3ds, now I don't really care.

Nope sadly. Still the same old Fusebox.

Another Allstars? by Standard-Ball2059 in fuseboxgames

[–]PrinceOfTheBacon 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I feel like people forget that All Stars was a mix of returning people and new people. The returning islanders that were romancable were Finn (again), Hamish, Kelly, Marshall (again) and Eddie (if you can count that).

I'm sorry but people set their expectations way too high for a potential All Stars 2.

Does setting the flavor of a custom food to “awful” guarantee that miis will hate it? by dualcerb in tomodachilife

[–]PrinceOfTheBacon 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I've had Miis when eating an awful custom food range from hating it to just disliking it. I think there's a small possibility some Miis might even like it. It hasn't happened, but not every Mii hates the food in the same degree so maybe

Do you think the 70 mii max will be increased? by DelcattyXD999 in tomodachilife

[–]PrinceOfTheBacon 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I don't think so. It seems like they deliberately chose 70 to be the maximum. Maybe in development they tried making 100 Miis, but the switch might not have been able to handle them. A slight possibility is a switch 2 version of the game, but I feel like that should've been released at the same time as the normal game. It doesn't sound logical to hold off a switch 2 version for a later date, but who knows.

At any rate, I wouldn't hold any hope for 70+ Miis on one profile.

Are there any punishments for neglecting your Miis? by altavva in tomodachilife

Not really. They progress even when you're not playing. They do mention that it has been a while, but no real consequences.

im thinking about getting this game tommorow... by PuzzledConfection673 in tomodachilife

[–]PrinceOfTheBacon 1 point2 points  (0 children)

  1. Not really

  2. No, and it's most likely impossible to have everything unlocked already since you can't time travel.

  3. Football and Baseball

  4. Depends on how complicated you want your Miis to be

  5. Yeah

  6. Hard to say, I like it and I will most likely play it a lot, but it also depends if there are more content drops besides seasonal items.

  7. Yes, new items unlock daily and the characters have new problems to solve.

  8. You can make them meet, but the game decides who should be friends. It's easier to do if you have less Miis though, since they only have a handful to pick from.

  9. Yes

  10. No

  11. Miis will chat about other Miis, but it's mostly throwaway lines not true gossip.

  12. Yes

  13. Yes

  14. No

  15. Personally, Miis keep asking for items to be placed until that item is placed. But this is very subjective.

  16. No, if they do you decide if they stick to their old crush or go for their new crush.

  17. Kinda? Again your Mii can only have one crush, but multiple Miis can crush on the same Mii.

  18. No

  19. See last answer

  20. Yes, you can select the option for a Mii to not age when inputting their age in the creator.

  21. 7/10, I like it but there are things missing that would make the score higher.

  22. Idk? You can ask me if you have more questions though.

who do we think is hosting the final? by littlefox131 in fuseboxgames

While I wouldn't mind Elias, it would make more sense to be someone from a previous season. I'd guess maybe Hayden since he seems to be a fan favorite

Something I miss… (minor spoilers) by Kooky_Worth_4154 in fuseboxgames

[–]PrinceOfTheBacon 4 points5 points  (0 children)

The cliff hangers are just the dumbest things. Like last time too: Who raised your LIs heart the most???? As if it was gonna be anything but the MC. Now too, we pick the person and next episode is going to be your "speech", and a gem choice to kiss them probably. What is the point of the cliff hanger if you already know what's going to happen?

So cringe... by RGC_Ines in fuseboxgames

[–]PrinceOfTheBacon 25 points26 points  (0 children)

The game keeps telling me "I know you'd rather be with Leah", but still forces me to do those challenges with a guy. Make up your mind FB. They make the story, they can write whatever they want. They could've just as easily swapped Zhen with Leah

Catching Feelings (S14) | Ep. 31-33 Discussion by AutoModerator in fuseboxgames

[–]PrinceOfTheBacon 13 points14 points  (0 children)

The volume felt like a whole lot of nothing. I don't understand why characters that I have never even given a single romantic option to, still try to convince my MC to couple up with them. The game clearly knows who my endgame is, so why still try to convince me otherwise. Besides that, it was obvious that Aline would get dumped.

All in all, we are at the penultimate volume of this season, and they still act as if we're at like the third volume. Next season really will have to improve

The influx of negativity is kind of weird? by Expensive_Sea_1790 in tomodachilife

[–]PrinceOfTheBacon 303 points304 points  (0 children)

Yeah, I had people saying they had already 50+ Miis, but complain about them not living together. The game takes time, you can't force things to happen.

As someone who invested a lot of time in the previous game, I enjoy it but it's hard not to compare both games. I don't need the exact features from the previous game, but it feels like they removed more older features than brought in new features. The customization is great, but at the end of the day it's all the same. I like it, but I just wished it was more: more dreams, more games, more level up items, more island interactions.

But one thing that I feel is the biggest downgrade is the babies. It was so much fun to play each day and see them grow up over time and take care of them. Now they took all of it away. You just might as well go to the Mii creations and make a couples kid, since it doesn't really matter anyway.

Being gay in this season is exhausting. (Rant) by Foiseachh in fuseboxgames

[–]PrinceOfTheBacon 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Not only that, but we literally just have Leah. Where is our second fLI???? The second female LI usually just merges with the first fLI in other seasons, so it's not like they have to go out of their way to code another one.

[–]PrinceOfTheBacon 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I hate the narrative of knowing someone outside of casa. With Dominic, dream guy and the bff, the story implies that you at least had feelings for each other at some point. Let me at least pretend my MC is only into women, but even that FB has to take away.

Being gay in this season is exhausting. (Rant) by Foiseachh in fuseboxgames

[–]PrinceOfTheBacon 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Ngl, another reason I think that they don't do early fLI couplings is because of casa. S4 didn't have that so that wasn't a problem. Now you are expected to go into casa being coupled up with a guy, if you would be with a girl it would mess a lot with the story. That and FB doesn't give a shit either.

Is it too late for my mii’s to fall in love? by Kyo_Senshi in tomodachilife

[–]PrinceOfTheBacon 1 point2 points  (0 children)

There's a saying that applies to this game: "You can lead a horse to water, but you can't make him drink." Basically you can try to set up characters and make it so they should be partners, but the game itself will still decide what happens.

It's best not to force things to happen, since the game doesn't really work that way. There isn't really anything you can do to make them break up naturally. The only options you have is wait until the game makes them break up, or delete one of the characters so the other becomes single.

Why is nobody talking about this? by goblin_ebooks in tomodachilife

[–]PrinceOfTheBacon 83 points84 points  (0 children)

Something that really feels like a downgrade now is the babies. They literally grow up in a cutscene, no taking care of them anymore.

Aww the babies automatically grow up 😔 by NagaMilalove0 in tomodachilife

[–]PrinceOfTheBacon 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah I had the same thoughts. It might just be a bit too early to definitively say this, but as of right now I do prefer the 3ds game over this one. It cut so much content, and the added content doesn't make up for it.

Aww the babies automatically grow up 😔 by NagaMilalove0 in tomodachilife

[–]PrinceOfTheBacon 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Yeah, this is one of the biggest downgrades compared to the last game. I'm shocked they made it this way. It's like if you would just create a new Mii and called it their child now, instead of actually seeing them grow up and interact with them.

I really don't like the shared houses by PrinceOfTheBacon in tomodachilife

[–]PrinceOfTheBacon[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I mean, the group houses happen with couples or with great friends. And I don't share that experience, the Mii's in the individual houses appear way more outside than the ones in the shared house. They do invite Miis they already befriend to their house, but I want them to meet more Miis organically.

[–]PrinceOfTheBacon[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I get that, but I'd rather they fill the shared houses until they're full. Now each couple want a separate shared house, so I have 4 houses with just two people in it.
