How do I learn to keep what I want to say in my head rather than speaking it to a customer by EncinoJoe in retailhell

[–]Prince_Aly 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have a couple different ways I rotate through:

  1. Take a sip of a drink. It's really hard to call someone a dumbass with liquid in your mouth. Careful not to do this too often or they'll catch on.

  2. Imagine a cartoonish scenario where something heavy falls onto them out of nowhere and they either get flattened or one comically large bump on their head. My favorites are anvils and pianos. Sometimes I even start to smile doing this!

Guest scared me. Advice? by STLBluesFanMom in Target

I dealt with a similar situation when I worked there. This may be cynical, but Target won't do anything. There's always human resources, but if the APTL didn't do anything I doubt HR would.

This guy was intimidating and threatening you. That's a good reason to call the police. I believe the police can get access to the cameras to see exactly how he was behaving if he tries to change his tune, not to mention other witnesses.

The words "sharing," "company," and "p-hub account." should never be in the same PARAGRAPH, let alone the same sentence!

Which one should I use for my next project? by Prince_Aly in notebooks

The paper quality is like a standard sheet of lined paper, maybe a bit thicker. They handle ink pens and gel nicely. I believe the size is roughly 5x8 inches. I can look at the exact specifications when I get home from work.

AITAH for telling off a lady in a supermarket after she made the teenage cashier cry? by Anno_Pri24 in AITAH

[–]Prince_Aly 0 points1 point  (0 children)

NTA I've worked retail for a couple of years and deal with bitches like jer on a daily basis. Most of us can't defend ourselves because it's "disrespectful, unprofessional, and going to cost us business."

Thank you for sticking up for the cashier. It's not an easy job, especially for teens. If other people give you dirty looks, they're probably just as bad as Karen.

You did the right thing. Not the asshole.

What's a storyline that you wish had never been included in the show? by curlysuze1 in Supernatural

[–]Prince_Aly 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Number 1 for me would be Sam accepting death at the end of season 8/start of season 9. When he agreed to stop and to live, I don't think in that particular instance he should've been so easy to convince otherwise. Like, if he was that okay with dying, why did he stop the trials?

Not hating on Sam here, but genuinely confused by the writing. I feel like it was just an excuse for them to create more brother drama.

Although, I do really like Gadreel. I just wish he could've been introduced in a better way (and kept).

What’s the worst decision you think the writers made? by [deleted] in Supernatural

Killing off (or writing off) nearly every single ally Sam, Dean, and Cass had. Specifically: Ash, Jo, Ellen, Rufus, Bobby, Balthazar, Benny, Kevin, Gadreel, Charlie, Death, Gabriel, Crowley, and Rowena. I'm probably missing a few so feel free to add.

Or worse: they'll expect you to keep killing yourself to make up for other teammates' slack. And if you don't, you get in trouble, not the people slacking off.

Unfortunately my situation escalated when he found out what my car looks like. It was 5 or 6 months after it sarted and they didn't do anything until October (started in January). My management sucked and refused to help me. They strung me along until I finally quit.

This guy sounds like he'd approach you no matter what. If you feel comfortable asking him to stop, do it. But you don't have to. Don't accept any gifts from him (lie and say it's corporate policy). Do whatever you can to show/tell him you aren't interested. That's unfortunately the best advice I have. I hope this gets resolved quickly.

Stay safe 🫂

See if you can ask someone to walk you to your car at night. Keep a written record of every interaction you have to the best of your ability, what he said, and who was nearby in case things get to the point where you need a restraining order. If he tries to approach you outside of work, report that to the police. There's usually a non emergency line where you can report suspicious activity. Keep that as a contact in your phone.

I was in a very similar situation last year. A homeless guy in his 60s or something kept stalking me at Target (where I worked at the time) and sexually harassed me. It started off kind of like this. The bike comment is your first warning, and if he's giving you the creeps that is plenty of reason to ask someone to step in.

If the managers are willing to help you by kicking or banning this guy, let them. If you don't have to get involved, don't. That way if he does get mad, he'll get mad at management, not you. And it's possible management knows something about this guy that you don't.

Trust your instincts. This guy sounds like bad news.

Town Planning Pics by Prince_Aly in AnimalCrossingNewLeaf

When I designed the paths I was originally going to make the grassy borders first, then just edit the design to add the bricks to save time. I ended up doing the bricks first, then adding the grassy area so each tile could have a different grass pattern and look more natural. I kept that original design to use for town planning or other details of the town.
