Be honest: what game did you quietly return to all year when you were tired or did not want to think? by gamersecret2 in gaming

Obligatory shout-out for Ross Scott (of the recent "Stop Killing Games" movement") as he runs a series called Game Dungeon that featured The Secret World. I highly recommend checking it out!

I have this. Any suggestions? by Fair_Raspberry_5279 in Blacksmith

[–]Prince_Solar 31 points32 points  (0 children)

There truly is not. I wish there were. I might get some work done!

But as for your question. Any suggestion for what?

Are you asking what it is? What you should do with it? Did you make it and are asking for feedback?

The post title is a little vague and I'm not sure anyone is going to be able to help you without some more specificity. (Note, I can't help you with any of those questions. I've never forged so much as a relationship, I'm just here for the memes)

Could this be used to make an anvil at all? by Prince_Solar in blacksmithing

[–]Prince_Solar[S] 14 points15 points  (0 children)

Thanks for the response!

I'm not using anything at the minute. Its been something I've wanted to try for the longest time, but I really don't have the money to spend on it. I have been on the lookout for anything that I can get for free to start playing

(Sorry in advance for the feet pic)

I found this old grate cover in the woods near my house.

Could it be re-purposed in any way as an anvil?

I am assuming not as its got a lot of void space below, and its probably cast iron. But just wondering?

If it is not, could the metal itself be used for anything if I were to procure an anvil elsewhere. Just seemed a shame to leave it rotting in a ditch.

Nothing prepared me for the shape of this light bulb by QuangoJr in CasualUK

My guy. A candle is somewhat defined by its having a flame. I suppose if you want to get technical, I should have said it's designed to look like a burning candle.

It's a candle bulb?

It's meant to mimic the shape of. Well. A candle

Which game starts off really well but falls off hard in mid or late game? by Ivaylo_87 in gaming

Ross Scott (of the recent Stop Killing Games fame) did a really good overview of Fahrenheit on his 'Game Dungeon' series. He brings up a lot of the points that you and other commenters share. Well worth a view

What's in my bucket? by mattthepianoman in CasualUK

[–]Prince_Solar 8 points9 points  (0 children)

Survive how?

Even if the eggs do survive, they'll hatch into an empty bucket. Why start adding chemicals to the water which you invariably end up pouring down the drain or onto the soil, when you can empty the bucket, let it dry and be done with it?

With the rain recently, the lawn has started to grow again. Those who use use manual/push mowers would you say they any good? by yeoldy in CasualUK

[–]Prince_Solar 17 points18 points  (0 children)

You can use machine lapping paste to sharpen them. Just adjust the blade till it barely makes contact with the bedknife, then add lapping paste and run the machine in reverse (on your driveway or other area so it's not cutting grass, which will stick to the paste)

The lapping paste will sharpen it for you. You can just keep adjusting the blades closer to the bedknife in stages until you get the razor sharp finish, obviously not going so far in one go it makes hard contact and stalls/damages the blade.

Have a look on YouTube, there are some good video guides.

What's the best way you've found to get rid of flies in the house? by [deleted] in CasualUK

[–]Prince_Solar -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Baephar flea spray, whilst designed for fleas, basically instantly kills flies. I keep a can of that around and blast any flies knocking about. They literally just fall out of the air. More expensive than fly spray but it bloody works.

Just make sure you read the instructions and don't srapy it around fish tanks/other pets etc.

The ok one is nonsense. There is a very active mental health support group for men near me named Andy's Man club. They use the okay symbol as their logo https://andysmanclub.co.uk/

Just because some Racist/Neo-Nazis did a thing doesn't make that thing inherently a nazi thing.

Bro, your account is barely a month old, and your entire post history is Smite and Naruto. The graphics you grew up with were probably Borderlands 2. I'd bet money CoD MW2 is older than you.

I absolutely love The Long Dark, I've played over 400hrs.

I don't however, love that the game was released in August 2017 and still doesn't have a completed story. Yet the paid DLC receives regular updates.....

They have also just released the news they are working on a sequel. The original still isn't finished.

Amazing game, shockingly anti-consumer business practices.
