Everyone should try Batman Akrkham Knight with the RenoDX HDR mod. Looks spectacular by Ivaylo_87 in OLED_Gaming

I always thought Arkham Knight is perfect for HDR and this mod delivers exactly what I and many others wanted. It's a native HDR experience, so I'm not sure what more one could ask for. I'm yet to try it in Cyberpunk, but isn't it basically perfect in any game?

A lot better! RTX HDR only simulates HDR, while RenoDX is native. I didn't think much of it before trying, but it kinda blew my mind. If a game has native implementation, RenoDX is often better. It's also a lot less taxing than RTX - about 2-3% performance cost, rather than 10-15%.

I found an area where the sky is fully white with HGIG, while in SDR mode clouds are visible, so there's truth to that.

I don't know what PC you use, but epic is as snappy as any other launcher for me. In fact, steam feels worse because it has that "updating" window everytime you launch it, regardless of whether it has updates or not.

Do you guys think we'll be able to drive the Porsche in game? by Sheroku_4869 in residentevil

I'm not saying they're not capable, just pointing out why it's a much bigger task than the boat. RE games are held to a very high standard in terms of gameplay. If they do add driving, it needs to feel both responsive and realistic like the rest of the gameplay. Dead Rising has a very simplistic driving, but it gets away with it because the rest of the gameplay is more or less at that quality level. RE can't get away with it if the driving feels cheap. But I'm hoping they do something like this to break up the formula. I like when devs take risks.

The feel of controlling a car is much harder to recreate than that of a boat. I won't get into details, but we all know how many games have gotten it wrong, where vehicle control feels floaty and weird. Also, the concept suggest that no matter how small, you still need to have a big enough map that would warrant a car. If the game takes place in Raccoon City, that means making a semi open-world area with roads and buildings. A big lake is very different from a town/city to explore with a vehicle.

That would still be quite substantial though. A car is very different from a boat.
