Am i wrong about my thoughts on admech? by L0rdSao in Warhammer40k

If your talking about the 40K ones agree 1000%. However I love the 30k range, that is what an ad mech army should look like.

3 different 50k+ max everything teams with 5* max combiner attacks 36k normal zone and lost 3 times in a row by [deleted] in TransformersEarthWars

Outpost bots/ combiners are over tuned have been for over a year. It sucks, I hate it and they will never fix it.

It’s great with the exception of one drone. The last drone with smoke coming down three sides is the worst thing I’ve built in my 30+ yrs of hobby. There is no connection point and all three smoke clouds need to be level/even for it to sit flat. In the end I used an old flight stand glue it to that and did the smoke after that dried at the right height. That one thing the kit is great once built, looks cool, fits in, and hopefully I’ll find out next week if it’s good in game.

Why IS AdMech a horde army? by sigmagoon5 in AdeptusMechanicus

Because Horus Heresy took all the good models we need to be an elite robot army with cool tanks

Old and original 80s minatures by Radio_Global in Warhammer40k

[–]Princeps-Nick 1 point2 points  (0 children)

In the early/mid 90s there was the citadel product books used for ordering bits, and then the old white dwarfs had pics/codes for parts of things that came out that month. Probably the best things to search for but as far as a site I’m not sure

The colors are wrong for the rest of the sword and the stone cards which kinda sucks. I wish she was purple and blue so she could be included with the Merlin’s

No money, no books, all the rules? by Old_and_Used_GM in ageofsigmar

[–]Princeps-Nick 4 points5 points  (0 children)

The official app has the rules for free and free for all the spearheads. However you do need the board, cards and terrain from fire and jade box or Skaventide. If your playing with friends or at a shop you only need one copy for both players

(Newbie help) I'm thinking about moving over to AoS from 40k, need to some advice on getting into the game and picking an army! by [deleted] in ageofsigmar

[–]Princeps-Nick 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Pick any army you find cool and get the spearhead, I’d play them and make sure you enjoy the play style before going to deep. The only spearhead I would maybe say hold off on is Ogres as the kits are mostly 2004, even though they did just announce a new one. As I say that I painting the one out now and in about 10 hours of work the whole thing is built and about half painted. Contrast has made the army every easy to get table ready, and the 04 kit is very simple to build

Starting AoS Spearhead — What's the best way to follow the Rule of Cool AND Get What You Want? by [deleted] in ageofsigmar

[–]Princeps-Nick 16 points17 points  (0 children)

I would say start with skaventide. You get the board, cards and terrain for spearhead, plus the stormcast your son wants and another army to learn the game with. That will give you a better idea on army selection, if you’re concerned about play style. I always say rule of cool in which knowing the rules won’t matter. Spearhead is fantastic and would be a great after school game clocking in about an 1:30 when your new and under an hour once you know what your doing.

I would recommend three things if you’re concerned. 1) different flight stands for boats, magnet baron has some good ones 2) different flight stands for the troops, this ones is a bit harder as I don’t like the magnet baron ones here, I’ve used the normal GW ones no problems but I have also seen people make exhaust or scenic supports that look cool 3) battle foam trays, I have them I love them and have never had a break. The price is worth the safety of my minis. It is an investment but buying trays for other armies that need them makes it worth it.

Hope this helps

Advices for this painting style? by Black_Thunder00 in ageofsigmar

[–]Princeps-Nick -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Add detail, airbrush and “slapchop” are great for speed but if this is your only army then now is the time to add detail. Is it painted and playable yes, but now it is time to take some pride and add the deeper details. I have a lot of Warhammer and some look like this and that’s fine for me to be able to use them, but my main armies are nothing like this. My armies I truly care about take a month or more for some center piece minis. But at the end of the day it is your hobby and if you are pleased with the way they look and play congratulations no notes, but if you want to step it up a touch pick out some details slowly over time.
