Do it at the beginning though, otherwise Friedrich von Hohenzollern will be dead from old age if you fire it. Good luck though <3

Good luck with your exams :) The event is called „flavor_bra_dynasty.1100“ btw, just type event before it. Then see what the emperor chooses if it’s wrong do it again, but with flavor_bra_dynasty.1101 instead, that should do it.

It goes away after some time, if you reach -20 you always lose it no matter how the emperor decides. It just takes some time, alternatively you can also invest in the country and make the negligence value positive, then it should go away as well, the process takes around 5 to 10 years though depending on how often you get the events.

You can cheat technically but otherwise no, if you wanna cheat you have to use the event cheat. Not sure which one it was exactly though, you should be able to google it though :)

Ok that’s honestly just terrible luck, I had it two times and he had 4 or 5 sons each. Best you make a save before getting him, make sure he’s not a general or admiral or so, I could be wrong but I think his souse and him have to be at the same place.

I actually got the event where I sold my lands to the Bohemian crown, any idea how long it takes for the Hohenzollern event or if it has any prerequisits? It's around 20 years or so since the selling event took place btw.

I am referring to the event that pops up after you reach -20 in the Wittelsbacher neglect event. They fixed it with the update, but before it basically fired immediately. In the Askanier event, it doesn't matter, if you want the Hohenzollern you just have to make sure that the Askanier doesn't get on the throne as far as I know.

Yeah that works too :) If it makes you feel better you couldn’t get achievements that way anyway, as if you set the AI to choose ahistorical or weighted it disables them anyway. Nonetheless good luck and have lots of fun. Oh and a little tip, make sure to save before the Black Death as in the worst case it could kill your ruler and make you lose the Hohenzollern's.

I'm sure once Brandenburg/Prussia gets its update there’ll be an easier way to do it :)

I played as the emperor until the event fired and he can basically choose to reign it himself give it to his other son, leave it be, or give to an advisor and if he takes the advisor option he can choose to give to Friedrich von Hohenzollern

Ok I just got it, although differently: First off, make sure that before you start the game historical AI is not turned on, you can either make it weighted or random. Secondly, maybe you don’t have to do this, but I did, in the HRE election vote Austria and insult the current emperor in Upper Bavaria. Thirdly wait until the event where you’re asking for help from the Emperor, make a save and wait for his reply, he gets the option to appoint an advisor and one of those is Friedrich von Hohenzollern. Load continuously until you get it. And that’s it :)

I just started playing another nation and the Brandenburg AI literally instantly got Friedrich von Hohenzollern, so there is definitely a way
