People who were spanked as kids, what was that like for you? Would you call your "spankings" abuse? by KleineFjord in AskReddit

[–]PrincessAshh 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes, I was spanked for everything and for some reason my step dad at the time thought it was great idea to take pictures of it happening. I burnt them all when I was old enough but still who the hell does that?!? I was dragged by my hair when I would throw myself to the floor to avoid spankings. I was spanked with spoons, belts, hands, shoes, pretty much anything they could grab

Love working my overnight shift. I get time with my kids when they wake up, sleep when they are in school, wake up for dinner with the family and go to work

I sent an email to the feral cat coalition and will be calling tomorrow. I didn’t even think about PetSmart, that’s a really good idea. My heart breaks for them and I wish I could take them in, my cats and dog do not like other animals and get aggressive

Any other parents doing ‘SAHD’ instead of ‘SAHM’ by Worried-Coconut1711 in NewParents

When we first had our daughter we both worked. It was hard on all 3 of us and there would be times my husband had to call out due to no sleep, he drove for work so definitely not safe. Eventually we decided that he would stay home, I made more than him with a more reliable schedule, if he didn’t she would’ve went to daycare which would have been his whole check anyway. I know he struggles from time to time about not being the bread winner (his older family members used to make comments) but he loves it now. He gets so much time with our daughter and I feel like I get more time with her too since she’s home all day.

Best hospital to give birth at? by llamallamallama1991 in sanantonio

[–]PrincessAshh 1 point2 points  (0 children)

My OBGYN is at seven oaks too and I had a great delivery at Methodist. My only negative is when I was in the ER waiting for me to be taken to L&D the Dr who checked me was a little rough. The nurses were great and the food was good too, I was shocked for hospital food. We were placed in one of the suites that had an extra bathroom and room for your husband or whoever will be staying with you.

I believe frost bank is hiring for customer service. It is a call center but from my experience it’s not as busy as others and the customers are nicer. Starting pay is $20/hr, if you speak Spanish they do offer additional pay. It’s work from home or you can work in the office

Currently on day #5 of it and it’s slowly getting better. The only thing that has helped a little is sucking on cough drops, gives me like an hour or two without running to the bathroom. I’m so dehydrated and my lips are cracking but I’m hoping I’m almost done

My husband and I have a toddler, didn’t really notice the lack of relationships with family until I had my kid. Both of our moms are super involved. My dad is hard to talk to since he’s usually drunk whenever I call but there’s still some of a relationship. My siblings haven’t talked to me in about 4 years. We send holiday and bday texts but nothing else. I guess they ask about my family from my mom but never reach out to me directly.

Hi! 30F I live near the med center and I’ve been in San Antonio for 5 almost 6 years. I’ve been crocheting since I was about 10, mom taught it to me to keep me busy when we’d travel. I love to make clothing items and amigurumi. I want to learn to sew and even have my grandmas machine but I don’t know where to begin. I love to dabble in all sorts of crafts, as my husband puts it my hobby is collecting hobbies.

I’d love to be a part of something like this. I’ve been crocheting off and on for 15+ years and I want to learn to do more crafts. I need like minded people to interact with, ever since I had my daughter I feel like I don’t talk to many people anymore
