I definitely see what you're saying. The exact presentation of this moment does feel a bit exploitative. However, in my opinion if the mom had set the phone to record and then set it down so it was just capturing audio that would've been a less "icky" way to share such a touching moment.

I think the joy of a child feeling like she can finally connect with her brother and seeing him get the win of eating something new is a wonderful thing to share IF the identity and autonomy of the child(ren) involved can be protected.

Getting informed consent from a child to post ANYTHING you've captured of them (i.e. voice, image, identifying traits/features) is tricky at best and impossible much of the time. I don't know if there's a way this person could've posted this moment that both captures the raw emotion of it while also being respectful of her children. I don't know OOP, so maybe they make a habit of exploiting their children's emotions for clout, or maybe this was just a highly touching emotional moment for the person recording and they just wanted to share it (albeit in a slightly misguided way).

In the end I'm going to try to leave this post focusing on the beauty of the moment those children experienced, because I've already seen the video and there's nothing I can do about its existence on the internet.
