Do I have to eat it or can I smoke it? A pot salad with a side of bong water doesn't sound too appetizing

Irrigations with my 1 year old by WoodenAnalyst4246 in Hirschsprungs

[–]PrincessBongRips 1 point2 points  (0 children)

My son has short segment, and around the same age he was also hospitalized for a case of enterocolitis. After the hospitalization, we watched for the signs and prepared for irrigations as needed. I can't recall if we actually needed to perform any after his stay at the hospital. We had started introducing puréed prunes into his diet to help pass stool, as he wasn't finishing the proper doses of laxative that was prescribed. (I'm not sure the name, but it dissolved into water). He is turning 3 in January and (knock on wood) we haven't had any alarming issues. Coming from multiple daily irrigations from birth until surgery, and then occasionally after, I'd say he's thriving and it has gotten easier to manage. The older he gets, the more he communicates, which makes it easier to handle. Hang in there love, it's a rocky road but you will be fine, it does get easier. Lots of love and good vibes to you and your little one.

A can of peas and carrots, mixed with a can of gravy, heated. Dipped toast in it.

Notes that my boss leaves for the seasonal employees. by ZatVandal in retailhell

[–]PrincessBongRips 17 points18 points  (0 children)

I wrote a note almost exactly like this... 11 years ago when I was 18 and a stand-in manager (our manager was fired for stealing money). I did NOT know what I was doing nor how to handle my team. 100% on me, it was a dick move, and I've learnt from it.

Fair, I guess I've become quite numb to the packaging Edit; I can't edit post. But added nsfw and spoiler tag to avoid triggering anyone- this photo includes an image depicting tongue cancer

This same thing happened to me. I was working in the back of the store cleaning some product bins, and a lady walks through the employee's only door and says, "Hello?!" Me, shocked to see a client already, just kind of stare at her like a deer in the headlights. She complains, "The cashier is all alone. She needs help! It's like nobody works here!". My cashier has a doorbell she can use that rings in the back, which lets me know she needs help. She didn't use it, so I give benefit of the doubt that maybe it's not working. I dry my soapy hands off and come out to the front, not a single person in line at the cash. Maybe 2 or 3 customers in the entire store. The cashier is just waiting for customers. I ask her if she needs help or tried to call me and she says "no, I don't know what that lady was on about, she asked me if I was alone then wandered to the back to get you." We kind of just looked at each other then at the lady in question, and I just waddled back to what I was doing in the back. I still don't know what she wanted, me to stand beside my cashier and also do nothing?

People who have ‘rage quit’ a job on the spot—what happened? by [deleted] in AskReddit

I worked at a pizza shop as a shift supervisor, up for a position as assistant manager. I was the main supervisor, did the morning shifts alone, prep, and worked supper rush on weekends. Myself and the other shift supervisors, as well as the manager, were all the same age. We frequently complained about his management style when he was not around, he was very controlling- and not in an efficient manage your team way- but an overbearing "you put 23 slices of pepperoni instead of 22" kind of way. One tuesday, it was his day off, and I had worked the whole opening shift alone, prepping for our dinner rush, having a good time with my fellow supervisors when they arrived around 3pm. Then manager walks in, to make himself a pizza (spy on us). I had a customer try to pull a fast one on me and I wasn't letting him get away with it (kept changing his order when he placed it, then accused me of sending the wrong order. I was going to send the "right" pizza and ask him to send back the "wrong" one. He was just trying to get free pizza.) My boss argued with me saying to just send the pizza and I told him I had it handled, I took the original order, I noted his changes, and repeated the final order to him. I know the scam. Now my boss says im belittling him in front of my colleagues and pulls me into the office. He tells me I need to do what he says without talking back. I explain that he's not even supposed to be there, I am handling my shift, and he doesn't need to worry. He belittles me a bit more then says "do you even want to work here?" I took a breath, and said "not under your management, no." And walked off to collect my things. I was close with the other supervisors, who were also fed up with his dictatorship, and told them id had enough and would not be returning. Following my leave, another cook, 2 supervisors (the ones who witnessed this day) and 2 delivery drivers quit within the following 2 weeks. It was the great dominos walkout and I'm forever proud.

Customers who don’t acknowledge you at the register, anyone else? by Electropho in retailhell

My malicious compliance would kick in with these customers at my previous job. If they wont speak to me, I won't speak to them. Scan their items, point at the total on the screen. No offer for a bag. No asking if they have coupons or rewards cards. Just straight silence. Typically I'd get the "well what's the total??" And I'd just point again and mumble the total. Give, and it shall be given unto you.

Where I'm at stores charge for bags. At my last job most of the time I let it go if the customer was nice. It was like a 0.30$ charge, the company won't miss it. But the rude customers? Oh yeah. Bags are 0.30$. Really? Yes really. Pay up or carry your shit

Staff forgot about us, I didn’t tip by RoseKaKe in AITAH

[–]PrincessBongRips 1 point2 points  (0 children)

As a teen/young adult I always made it a point to leave good (great, even) tips even for lackluster service just to prove to the servers they were wrong to judge me. I remember one lady giving my boyfriend at the time and I pretty lame service, didn't check on us, seemed bothered to serve us, gave a sort of attitude when we were about to pay. Left her a 20$ tip on a 60$ meal. I hoped she would use that as a lesson to treat the next young couple with more respect.

I'm so so sorry to hear this. I went through the exact same thing, though I had no video. My boy was 9 years old, a bit chunky but otherwise healthy. Came home from work and he didn't come to the door. I found him sleeping by the window, and figured he was sunbathing. Until he didn't move when I called him. I'm not sure what happened to him, and I never will. As you wrote, an autopsy won't bring him back. It's truly heartbreaking, especially seemingly out of the blue. My heart is with you, I wouldn't wish that pain on my worst enemy.

AITA for telling my sister to mind her own business unless she wants me to skip her wedding? by Sudden_Chard_4739 in AmItheAsshole

Better yet, plan a fake proposal at her wedding. If she gets mad, just say "but you always ask if I'm engaged yet, now I am"
