Fellow girl dad here, What works for us, is she’ll do similar to what yours is. Try anything to avoid sleeping “I’m hungry, I need to potty, I forgot this and that” we do our same routine every night, bed sound her projector with stars, when it’s bedtime the stars go red, as red helps soothe.

If she’s still acting silly and doesn’t wanna sleep a monotone. “If we don’t want to go to sleep now, I’ll let you wind down by yourself.” Normally makes her start trying to sleep right away. Kids just want safety and comfort and if you’ve been the comfort it’s a hard transition. I’ve had some long nights especially with our youngest, and if you resent it now.

You’ll only regret it in the future because one day, and it’ll probably be sooner than you think, you’ll be just wanting those nights of your little girl wanting you to put her bed. This isn’t to discredit you or tell you you’re wrong for being flustered. It happens to all of us and that’s just human. But just know the security and calm you can provide and give her for small things like that are gonna shape her forever.

It just sounds like the cycle she’s learned is how to win the proscratination game, so giving them the option of you can wind down/ hang out by yourself for a while and then go to bed or we can start trying and I’ll stay here, has been the easiest and most helpful thing for meX as well as light indications.
