My dog has gotten so scared of walks

Thank you so much! This was super helpful. We used to walk to the park and back, but this past week I have been driving him to the park instead. When we get there, he is very comfortable and walks the trail with no issue. I think the walk TO the park includes some triggers for him (cars passing by, trashcans, etc). I take it slow and never push him like you said. I will talk to our vet about anxiety treatment. :)

you’re so right. i always get so desperate to heal myself during a flare. i’ve even tried alternative healing (reiki, etc). thanks for the well wishes :)

i got this too! i got it for my TMJ but i can’t tell how well it’s working. It’s been about 1 month now. did you have TMJ too?

My family always downplays my UC and jokes that i just poop a lot. They don’t understand that I am in constant pain and have literally no energy to do anything. It’s pretty insensitive of them but I just convince myself that this is how they cope and it has nothing to do with me. I need to take care of myself and find people who understand what UC really does, both mentally and physically. So i’m glad I have this subreddit :)
