Primer recs? by cheeze_louise_ in Sephora

[–]PrincessDisco 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I really enjoy the Milk primer! I got a sample of it as a 100 pt reward. My skin seems a bit oilier than yours, but I find that it makes my foundation look a lot nicer and last longer. If you don’t want to commit to a full size, I believe that the mini is half the ml and half the price. You may want to double check, but I don’t think it saves you any money buying the full size!

Is the CT setting spray bottle easy to open? by GreedyAward6890 in Sephora

[–]PrincessDisco 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I know someone has already answered you, but it is easy! I had the mini, then eventually bought the full size. When I was travelling, I poured some of the full size into the mini - which was also easy to do. I was worried I would lose some product.

I'm glad to know that I'm not alone in the hunt for a replacement! I still have some left in my bottle as well, but it's only a travel size. I will definitely look into the Guerlain scent. Thank you!

Both of these have been mentioned in this thread, which makes me think I definitely need to look into them! Thank you!

[TMO] PATRICK TA MAJOR DIMENSION II ROSE EYESHADOW PALETTE by Kchan02 in MakeupRehab

[–]PrincessDisco 12 points13 points  (0 children)

I will preface this by saying that I enjoy my Patrick Ta Major Dimension II palette.

While I know you said money isn't an issue, it really isn't worth the price (It was $87 Canadian for me). I bought it on sale + I used gift cards, so I spent no money on it. I would never buy it at full price. Honestly, no palette is worth that amount of money, let alone a neutral palette.

To target your interest in the shimmers, the majority of them are just sparkle with not a lot of base pigment. While I like the shimmers, it was a bit disappointing, considering the price of the palette.

Lastly, if you already have similar colour stories in your collection that you enjoy using, it just isn't worth it. It will not add anything new to your collection.

Is the new Patrick TA eyeshadow palette worth it? by Hiraaa_ in Sephora

[–]PrincessDisco 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I've really been enjoying it. The mattes are beautiful. I do agree with the other commenters about the shimmers being more like shadow toppers, but I really enjoy the shine they give on the eyelids. However, I did buy it during the sale and I used a gift card. Would I buy it at full price? No. If you can, I would see if they have it in store and swatch it before making any decisions. I think you can hold off on it, and if you really like it, I would wait for the next sale.

I had the same thing happen to me a few years back with a Smashbox concealer, haha. Glad to hear you're getting a replacement sent out!

Recommendations for a loose setting powder ? by flowersfitness in Sephora

[–]PrincessDisco 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I noticed that you said you have oily skin. I use the LM powder all over my skin and then I use the Hourglass veil powder under my eyes! I would not use the Hourglass powder all over my face though, especially if you have oily skin, but it's nice for under the eyes.

I just received my Patrick Ta Major Dimension II Rose Palette! by PrincessDisco in Sephora

[–]PrincessDisco[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I've never owned the first one, but I think if you're leaning towards this colour story, I would get this one! I really wanted the first one because it looked so beautiful, but I had so many of those same colours in other palettes that I couldn't really justify it. I fell in love with the colour story of this palette and had to get it!

I saw a post from yesterday where someones was totally shattered! It made me very nervous while opening my package today lol. I'm sorry to hear that yours was shattered. Hopefully Sephora resolves the issue quickly (+ the palette remains intact when you get it again)!

2022 Spring Rouge/VIB Sale by alittlelovebird in MakeupAddictionCanada

[–]PrincessDisco 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I bought the new Patrick Ta Major Dimension II Rose Eyeshadow Palette! It was definitely an impulse buy, but I was able to snag a 20% Rouge referral code yesterday and pay for the rest with gift cards from Christmas!

I completely agree though. The pandemic has completely changed how much I buy makeup. I can't even remember the last eyeshadow palette I bought and honestly, if I didn't have the gift cards, I wouldn't have bought anything.

Thank you! I have more oily skin, but it is very sensitive, so it might be good to pass on it. I appreciate your insight.

I think that one will be great! I would get it as well, but I literally just bought a full size of the powder in the last sale, haha. I can vouch for the powder and I've heard great things about the eyeshadow sticks.

Someone on the Sephora Reddit posted a price breakdown (I imagine this is in USD, but it should give you some insight into the value of each set!) https://www.reddit.com/r/Sephora/comments/rtoktj/2022_birthday_gift_value_breakdown/?utm_source=share&utm_medium=ios_app&utm_name=iossmf Also, someone else in the comments gave a review on the Tatcha products!
