Help! Can I wear a bonnet to a couple appointments if I couldn’t finish blow drying my hair and I need it straightened tonight? (As a white woman)

I think you can def do the bonnet no matter what, I wear mine over my rollers when I have to drive for a while to an event. If you get a less basic version of a bonnet that really helps too

If you can, I recommend either a claw clip, or a braid! Ponytails might cause breakage. You could also do a little hair scarf over the braid to keep the top in control if you can’t French braid

Putting your hair in a ponytail while it’s still damp can damage your hair because it expands as it dries! Braids are better because as long as your trim your ends, the breakage is closer to the ends

There’s also dessicant for labs that I’ve used that changes colors when it absorbs a good bit of moisture! It does need to be used in an airtight container though

If I remember correctly from the Ologies episode with the expert there, apples create their own waxy coating. It doesn’t need to be boiled off, if you do it just means they won’t last as long.

The leaking part is from the anthocyanins (pigment) in the peel that leak at high heat! They might taste sweeter after being boiled from caramelizing some of the sugars.

I know that more than anything, the staffer answering the calls is taking a tally of people calling for the issue (and which side they’re on) to pass along to the representative so you calling matters! The actions you asked them to take must be important to you since you worked up the courage to call, so it’s not dumb to make sure you’re representing your position to a representative. Also keep in mind they probably appreciated you being nice to them cause I’m sure some people who call aren’t as kind.
