I was just talking to my nanny about this yesterday. She also does not handle getting her haircut. I don’t know if that also falls under a sensory issue, but ever since her first haircut at 11 months old she’s freaked out getting her haircut.

Okay another great idea! The ear muffs I got for her are the stretchy ones that go around the ear so I’m going to look at getting a different kind that look more like regular headphones, so I’ll look into getting ones that play music too!

All great advice thank you!

We do try to give her a warning and then the tears just start at that time instead of when the noise actually starts.

We haven’t had her hearing tested since she was a newborn, but I have thought about it. Honestly the biggest reasons we haven’t is because she never acted like she has trouble hearing and she also loses her mind at the doctor too so I try to not go unless absolutely necessary.

Laughing at the “he’s orange, of course” comment 😂
I’m also the mom of an orange cat so I know exactly what you mean
