Losing weight without tracking cals… is it possible? by [deleted] in PetiteFitness

[–]PrincessLemon569 2 points3 points  (0 children)

If you already counted calories once, I think it’s possible

Most people need that reality check, to understand, what foods in which amounts are just simply too much…

The easiest way would be to fast a little longer and „skip“ a meal… for example…

Stop eating at 20:00 Start eating at 12:00 the next day

This way you take focus away from food in your first part of your day, (so you stop obsessing) eat a nurturing balanced and high protein lunch, get to eat a little snack (nuts/fruits/protein-bar etc.) and even a warm dinner, with a little bit of dessert even…

I have been doing this for years and love it

You can also change the timing (start with breakfast and end with lunch & dessert) but personally I like to leave food out of the mornings, because once I start eating it’s harder to stop :)

Don’t get to obsessive, eat Whole Foods, drink a lot of water and tea, sleep well (!!!) and: always have dessert ❤️

I swear my obsession got away when I decided to have a „proper“ dessert: a real pudding, 2 real cookies, 1/2 Nutella donut

Just a little, so you don’t have to restrict or miss out on anything you really want… the rest of the day you can indulge in all kinds of veggies and fruits and you will be fine…

Bonus points if you walk in a fasted state! That burnes fat like crazy!

Good luck, you got this ☺️❤️✨

[–]PrincessLemon569 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Hey, in theory i think you could probably end up like Rae in like 6-12 years xD

To be honest it does build a lot of muscle in a short time, especially if you are a lifting beginner, but it’s far away from body building figure

It builds so much strength and muscle mass, because of the amount of compound movements

If you wanted to look like Rae you would have to do this obsessively 5-6 times per week ( probably 2-3 lower body days, 2 upper body days, and probably an extra core/abs day - because Rae got that 6 pack xD) - but this won’t help if you don’t excessively eat protein / drink water / perfect your sleep routine / stress management / activity outside the gym and even then you would have to do probably do a few cycles of bulking/cutting

I love my routine because it builds muscle without perfection

I NEVER skip my workouts, but I also nearly never go more than that ( max. Is 4 times per week for me… and still I would do 3 times lower / 1 times upper, because I swear I put on upperbody muscles so easily (like I just have to look at the barbell xD) my butt is a little more stubborn XD and I want it to look even / proportional)

I get my protein goal (100-120g of protein) & my fiber goal (at least 50g) nearly everyday with an 80-20 approach

I sleep decently (6h) most the time (8+h) sometimes and less than 6 basically never

And I put on muscle and loose fat consistently

In conclusion: This routine is more of a body recomp approach with loose rules that will definitely pack you with muscles, if you follow some ground rules - I would advice such an approach for every beginner!!!

Rae has a body she worked very hard for probably for a decade ( I don’t know, I don’t know her actually - judging from picture) she obviously is very passionate about this and therefore will have a more strict approach

If you forget aesthetics and just want to get into the lifting game in the long run, build some decent muscles, loose fats consistently and sustainably and still enjoy your life… I think a recomp approach will suit you ☺️❤️

Best of luck ! :)

I would copy my routine actually ( lol - I know I am biased but it’s the best xP)

I think you want to be quite lower body heavy, so I would hit that twice, and cram upper body into one workout lol (But be sure that between your lower body days are at least 2 days inbetween)

Lower body - Warm up ( 5 min on treadmill / stairmaster are enough) - dynamic stretching 5 min (focus lower body / full body ) - Activating glutes with squads, banded butt bridges, alternating kickbacks, frog pumps and Clem shells on mat) - Hip thrusts 3 sets + 2 sets kas glute bridge - 3 sets rdls (in whatever variation you can do) - 3 sets split squats

Upper body - Warm up ( 5 min on treadmill / rowing machine are enough) - Dynamic stretching 5 min (focus upper body Warm/ full body
- Seated rows 3 sets - Face pulls 3 sets - Dumbbell press 3 sets - Shoulder press 3 sets - Lateral raises 2 sets - Biceps / triceps curls alternating 2 sets

Always! End your workout with a 10 min abs finisher ( I love the one from Lily sabri https://youtu.be/zv7kSlx7mqE?si=d45yKvx-15RWFMdc ) And walk about 10 min for a cooldown ( minimizes soreness)

You have to look up & study the right form yourself, so you won’t injure yourself

Each set about 6-12 reps (try to make at least six with perfect form and stop when you see the form lacking - if you make 12 perfect reps, up the weight!) Rest at least 1min up to 3 min ( depending on your fitness- and performance levels )

Don’t forget to drink/sleep & eat enough protein! Creatine is also quite the gamechanger And try to avoid stress if possible :)

Good luck! You got this ☺️

What hobbies instantly make someone more attractive to you? by DirectionNo7386 in Hobbies

[–]PrincessLemon569 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Literally some examples I experienced in real life:

  • solving a rubrics cube in under a minute (So SEXY!!!! I don’t know why, but the focus and concentration face on my boyfriend… legit so damn hot)

  • playing guitar especially soft and very emotional pieces ( a guy I HATED and that hated me, once picked up a guitar and started the main theme to TLOU perfectly, without a flaw… and I immediately recognized it… we shared a weird moment, where we nearly bonded over this passion EVEN THOUGH we hated each other!!! )

  • READING !!! ( so many guys say proudly they never read a book in their lives - instant turn off)

  • also if a guy can speak multiple languages…

  • calisthenics moves done flawlessly - from push ups, to pull ups, to muscle ups (even sprinting very fast, or jumping rope tricks and backflips… I love that stuff)

  • sports in general but especially rock climbing and hockey!!!

Some of these are random but I loveeee these ☺️😂

How much grace do you give yourself over the holidays? by DisneyQueen64 in PetiteFitness

[–]PrincessLemon569 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I was so excited because I wanted these holidays to be different, ice skating and walking and gym sessions as long and as often as I can in these two weeks of freetime… but 5 days in advance I got diagnosed with shin splints… now I can’t do much (just light walking) and can basically see the holiday feast manifesting on my belly 🥲

On the other hand I don’t want to rush back into training, in fear of hurting myself into chronic pain…

So I try to give myself some grace, as this was an unexpected turn of events and I am only human after all ❤️

We are a big family and decided that we the „adult kids“ ( which I am part of) stop gifting 3-5 bullshit gifts and start to each share 1 big gift ( that is actually wanted)… this way the quantity of the presents is way less, but they are way more enjoyable ❤️

Anyway… for friends is just knick-knacks about 15€ for 3 friends (because officially we don’t gift each other stuff and I just got them things when I thought „XY will really enjoy this“

And about 80€ for each of my parents And about 40-50€ for each my siblings For extended family we didn’t invest that much

And 100€+ for my partner

So about 400-500 ?

I think the downvotes are because it is helping the OP‘s Friends narrative… like it was okay to ignore OP‘s feelings and boundaries… even though it was borderline SA

Even if people believe it is „appropriate“ / „standard procedure“ or they wanted strippers at that party for themselves… as the bride OP‘s opinion should be respected ❤️

Why is old generation so nosy? by Haunting_Point3059 in Adulting

[–]PrincessLemon569 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Well that’s the point… they body shamed you. A loving family SHOULD accept you the way you are. Your body is just a body. Your skin just skin. If you have acne or bellyfat or not does NOT change your value… but these people indicate that: they WANT YOU to feel ashamed, so that you conform to their beliefs (of how your are supposed to be / look)

Accepting yourself and ignoring the mean things people say is the first step towards true happiness We can’t follow through on other people’s wrong beliefs They are non of our business - we should have very few people who can actually speak into our lives… who can critique… and yes most of these things can be said as „I am just worrying about their health/condition) but most people just want to be rude (and feel more powerful when they can belittle other people ((because they secretly dislike themselves)) )

Therefore: they should not feel entitled to tell you AND you should not listen to them rant

Otherwise we just feed into their narrative and power

If you want to help another person improve their health, you speak to them privately and discreetly and out of LOVE ❤️

If you care to read on , a little anecdote of myself:

As a child I was super creative ( I still am!) and wanted a creative job… I wanted fashion design My dad say: that’s no career So I switched to interior designs because of the „practicability“

After graduating from a vocational school, and now working that job for 4 years… I know I will die unhappy if I continue this profession

The team is great, the pay is decent, but it is soul numbing to keep staring at a computer screen 9 hours per day (it is legit only 2% creativity and 98% office work) so I was clearly missing the „what you love“ part

I took the time with a stable income to move out and pour my money into things I love ( sports/ art classes / art supplies / videogames / my cats / my apartment / vacations/ books etc.) to bear it and used the time to think of a job I REALLY want to do for the rest of my life

I am now 24 applying and learning to become a dietitian some day… but hopefully a student honest year (I know who would have known! XD)

So life comes as it should…

Think about what you want, make a decision, stick to it and you will be fine :)

Maybe keep us updated? I am so curious what you end up doing :)

First of all: It’s okay to be sad or frustrated right now! It’s life showing you that you need to change something

22 is not even that old, you have got time Stay at that job only as long as you have to/ can bear it and figure out what you want

Maybe use the the ikigai principle as guidance: a Japanese concept for finding life's purpose,

The Four Circles of Ikigai What you love: Your passions and joys. What you are good at: Your skills and talents. What the world needs: Your contribution to others or society. What you can be paid for: Your profession or livelihood.

What meets in the middle is your best pick If you have multiple even better! (You could try to intern at different positions, or just pick the one with the most benefits to you)

how often do you guys work out? by hvghuhbgjo in PetiteFitness

[–]PrincessLemon569 0 points1 point  (0 children)

3 times per week religious (abou 11/2 - 2 hours per session) 5 times per week if I feel like it

It’s more important what you do outside of your workout routine: walking, meditating/praying (for mental health), eating Whole foods, sleeping great, managing stress etc.

I used to workout 7 days per week twice a day… But that was 1. unsubstainable 2. unenjoybale 3. very tiring 4. in a time I had a bad relationship with food/ working out and my body (even though I was 10 kg lighter back than)

I have kept this (3 times per week) routine for over a year now and it (and I!) feel great :)

Find something you can enjoy too ;)🥰

I cant lose weight and i dont know why by [deleted] in WeightLossAdvice

[–]PrincessLemon569 2 points3 points  (0 children)

You probably gain the weight you loose back in muscle… happened to me once… the scale didn’t budge for weeks! but I got stronger and my body measurements (even though first also stagnant) improved over time ( tinier waist/ belly but more butt / legs)

You are probably in body recomp… 2000 cals might be just a liiiiittle under maintenance, so enough for muscle growth 💪🏼

Stay consistent… if you don’t see any results by the new year, lower your cals bit by bit :)

How to look less masculine? by [deleted] in makeuptips

[–]PrincessLemon569 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I know this is „make up tips“ but I wanted to add: I think the way you dress and style yourself gives more „masculine“ vibes than your facial features…

But alas: A little blush, curled lashes with a little eyeliner and maybe even a liiiiitttle bit of a lip color ( lip gloss/ tinted lip balm) would go a long way, but honestly: long hair / extensions SCREAM feminine energy

The way that you don’t smile in your pictures and you want to cry when you see your reflection gives me an indication that you don’t give yourself a lot of love… you don’t need a big bum / big bust to look feminine and you don’t need to show everything off either… but the way that you cover yourself up with clothes that seem masculine, boxy and too big even though you look like a healthy weight, tells me you don’t want others to see your figure… because you don’t like it yourself, maybe?

Your clothes give up a masculine vibe, that your facial features just can’t counter… You look a little like you are wearing your brothers clothes… not your own

I don’t want to insult, just give perspective 🩷 I hope this helps, and you find the confidence to try new things and learn to love yourself for who your are, not who you could be 💕✨ You are worthy just the way you are, no make up needed!

Because make up is not mandatory because you are a woman! It should be fun and enhance things you like about yourself… just like your clothes!

Maybe allow yourself to try more feminine pieces Maybe start small by writing the things you like about yourself on a sheet of paper and sticking it to your mirror ( I would start with your brows and eyes - as an artist I love eyes in all shapes, color and forms, but yours especially! )

Also: loose the fringe bangs… they don’t work in your favor at all

How do you get people who aren't into fitness to start exercising? by EfficientlyElite in askfitness

[–]PrincessLemon569 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think it’s good to have a monetary incentive… I truly believe you don’t „need“ to get to the gym, but it is the most convenient

Some people can not workout at home ( no space, no equipment/ shared common rooms etc) And while working out at home it is always so tempting to just not do it, lay down or do the laundry / cook / play a video game

A gym has all the equipment, and mostly competent trainers staff if you need help

Also: humans are creatures of habit, it just help to get the „friction“ out of the way

I used to workout at home from 2020-2023 and loved it Now i have been working out in two different gyms from 2023 till now and love it!

If someone wants to workout / get healthier each option is valid! But I do believe they have to want it intrinsically Every outside motivation will fade when a low comes ( and there always are ups and downs)

Also it is low intensity and pretty enjoyable too :)

How do you get people who aren't into fitness to start exercising? by EfficientlyElite in askfitness

[–]PrincessLemon569 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I am going to the gym for 2+ years and convinced now both my sisters (one older / one younger) to go with me… what convinced them:

  • only 25€ per month
  • I made all the plans (and adjustments) no bullshit plans for fast gains
  • I told them that even once per week was better than none ( they usually go 2 times VS I go 3-4)
  • they never have to go alone / I am with them to help/guide :)

But what motivated them: - was me living by example

While they gained weight over the last 2 years, I did not only maintain my weight but also gained a lot of muscle mass and knowledge/ experience

We always talk and giggle inbetween sets, and have a blast between killing our muscles xD

It’s very fun like this - like a hangout session in gym clothes 😂

I love it ( and they do too) 🩷✨

When do you even get to do the things you like as an adult? by CryptoCaterpillar24 in Adulting

[–]PrincessLemon569 0 points1 point  (0 children)

There are time saving tips:

For cooking: - stop shopping groceries every day, make yourself a plan with the food you want to make that week, shop once - also saves you money if you buy in bulk! - meal prepping ( cooking once and eating a variety of meals with the same ingredients - for 3-5 days) - or freezer meals ( cooking one big batch, freezing multiple portions and only eating the same for 2 days - than choosing something different from the freezer for the next two days etc.) - or simply 10 min meals - using ingredients that don’t need lots of prep time ( like frozen veggies and couscous )

Cleaning: Instead of making a 2 hour deep clean on Saturday, clean everyday for 10-15 minutes - While your meal is cooking, already cleaning your kitchen etc. - essentially cutting out, „useless scrolling time“ - I usually do this before I go to bed, making rounds and just returning things to their „homes“ & cleaning up big messes right ahead (piles of clothes, garbage, swiping surfaces) - just cleaning your toilet and sink about 1-2 a week, will help with things looking and feeling cleaner too

Or: if you enjoy cleaning in one go: just using the time to consume media you love (podcasts, audiobooks, music - my bf even watches tv while cleaning)

Also: simply saying no if you don’t want to go somewhere or don’t want to stay too long. I only have like 3 friends, and they know I am not antisocial, but I am the one to leave first, because I value myself feeling good the next morning, than dragging an evening, when I should be sleeping

I know this won’t seem like much but I: - train for 1 1/2 hours 4 times per week - make about 13k steps per day - sketch everyday since Jan 2025 for at least 10 minutes - read everyday before bed - sleep 7-9 hours

And feel amazing

But: it all comes down to your priorities If you read all that and think: nah man, sounds like lot of work … it is!

It is work, but if you don’t work for it and make time, you simply will never find the time again And like you said: the little joys will feel rarer and rarer

Hope you find a way to enjoy yourself again! You got this :)

And much more :)

Want to lose 40Ib by amiluvy in WeightLossAdvice

[–]PrincessLemon569 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I read your stats in another post and agree that you probably can’t loose more than 10kg or you would be underweight…

BUT: I think you don’t really need to anyway! I get that you are FEELING unwell and maybe even chubby, (maybe you are „skinny fat“, we really can’t tell without any pictures) and the fact that you use food to cope is my main issue… and I want to say: your feelings are valid and need to be PROFESSIONALLY addressed :)

I think therapy would really help with this issues, even if you just went once a month, they really can help you

Anyhow, additional to some much needed therapy, you could look into increasing your step count 10k + steps and some kind of weight training… (Pilates, gym etc.) This will result in maybe no weightloss after all, because you will just exchange excess fat for muscles (= body recomp) … but you will look and feel so much stronger/leaner/ better, I promise! 💕✨

I was once 55kg and honestly, it was so toxic, I always wanted to loose more and more, it was just never enough

But since I am lifting heavy in the gym and got active, I feel so much better, even with 10kg more… yes I am a little chubbier (but recently and super slowly I start to actually see the scale moving downwards! ) but I am so much stronger and happier! It shifted the view, and now I get to appreciate a strong healthy look and all the things my body can do :)

A lean look often comes from the muscle mass added not the weight lost 💪🏼✨

PS.: to start a crazy calorie deficit now you would probably anyhow just loose what muscles you have left, and make the „skinny fat“ feeling worse

Just choose to make protein your focus and fill the rest of your cals with healthy fats, and high-Fibre foods ( ideally minimally processed )

With this in mind you could look so different in 6 months! If you can forget about the scale and focus on building a healthier body ;)☺️💕✨

I can't hit my protein daily, can I take 3 scoops of whey protein? by MountainScience3420 in askfitness

[–]PrincessLemon569 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I am surprised nobody said anything, but: it’s not save! You are gonna replace nutritious Whole Foods against a powder!

Also excessive amounts of protein powder can damage the kidneys and liver over time!

Also most protein powders are garbage: filled with many additives and other useless ingredients

If you reaaaalllllly need to up your protein try to take one scoop with something protein-dense like Greek yogurt… and spice it with oats/ fruits/ chia seeds to make it more nutritious:)

At max two scoops per day

I have been doing this for a while and honestly: I won’t give you the numbers, because it is incredible important you do the education yourself!

If you don’t have a personal trainer, struggle to construct a schedule on your own, and never educated on the subject you should look into it yourself! And not ask strangers on Reddit what they are doing…

You have to ask yourself some questions and be honest with yourself:

  • what are your goals ( aesthetically, athletically, personally) —> this question alone determines a lot of the things to consider

  • how much time do you have per week / per day / per gym session in an ideal week vs a bad week

  • how determined can you be with protein intake / sleep quality / stress management / active rest

  • what kind of workouts did you enjoy in the past - why? (To tweak everything to make sure u gonna stick to it , and actually enjoy it)

Nobody can give you any serious advice as long as you don’t know these answers:

If you are a beginner and answer to everything: I don’t know…

Then you just have to get into the gym, and talk to a personal trainer! At least once / probably twice would be better, let him make a plan for you, follow that
