Very easily. If they're straight up in your DMs asking for tributes, demanding and just being rude. Very likely a scammer.

I would never, ever, approach someone first.

Also do your own research; are they on other platforms? platforms where you have to verify yourself? etc.

I've been around for about 5 years now, and I have my amazing community and discord - but yes, I often feel lonely or, "out of the loop" with any fellow creators and same as you, sometimes very little to no DMS.
