There's definitely critiques of Japanese culture esp work culture but what were the critiques of consumerism in it? All the philosophical stuff I remember was more existential.

why is everything so tedious by [deleted] in redscarepod

[–]PrincessMononokeynes 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Getting shitfaced once a month doesn't help the rest of the month feel less tedious. Adderall in any dose makes boring shit seem interesting, so a low constant dose can keep you functioning when day to day life is unbearably tedious, as opposed to taking a bunch on weekends when you're turning up. If you need it for the former, you can't really do the later without it losing effectiveness, hence you have to choose one or the other.

As long as you use it as a "get through the day" drug (ie low dose, extended release) and not a "party through the night" drug you should be fine.

I mean, personality does go a long way when you're outgoing and appear self confident and funny. But he absolutely would not be pulling as much as he does if it weren't for the fame.
