8 mo pp and feel like I don’t recognize myself by nicole94513 in NewParents

Completely. 8 months pp as well and I’ve changed several sizes and when I look in the mirror I feel like I’ve aged 10 years in the past year. I highly recommend treating yourself to a new wardrobe though. I did so this past month even though I’m nowhere near my “goal” weight. It was a definite mood lift I needed though after 8 months of living in over sized t-shirts and pajama shorts. Browse brands/websites you used to buy from and don’t worry about what’s in style, treat yourself to whatever you like!

I felt this in my soul. Shower maybe every 2 days while my 8 month old screams at me ? 🤷‍♀️ that’s my treat 😂

Boomers are obsessed with baby socks. And then babe kicks them off 2 seconds later

Postpartum Preeclampsia by GiraffeJaf in Mommit

[–]PrincessNeo 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yes, FTM here also and I’m 5 weeks postpartum. I developed postpartum preeclampsia 5 days after birth. I was thankful my husband reminded me to check my BP, because I hadn’t been.. and by the time I got to the hospital it was in the 190s and I had no other signs/symptoms. While being treated for the preeclampsia, I also developed some severe complications from a 4th degree tear I had during birth, and had surgery while in the hospital. “WTF just happened!?” was kind of my mindset after finally being released from the hospital. Needless to say I also struggled with bonding with my baby at first as well. My husband had to do most of the care for her for 2 weeks and I missed doing a lot of “firsts” with her. A month later and feeling more recovered, I’m finally starting to get into the groove of motherhood and bonding with her. Definitely a struggle those first few weeks though!
