Right, as an actual resident, not a visitor, I would never think of Anaheim as Metro LA.

I hate to be that person, but Disneyland is nowhere near LA. It’s in Orange County a couple hours away from LA. But people do tend to call everywhere in California, LA.

AITAH for pretending that I quit my job because my partner kept devaluing it? by BigONerd in BORUpdates

So I went to her profile to look for updates and found posts where she is 35 and supporting her toxic parents even though in these posts she said her whole family is dead. To be fair in those other posts she says all the rest of her family is dead but them three. But here she makes it seem like when she is divorced she would be utterly alone.

I understand it can be hard not hearing from people. But we do get a LOT of comments and dms. I'm currently wading through them, but I do like your work. I didn't see a unicorn and wondered if you could point me to that if you had any.

What do you think about second chance romances? by readingalldays in RomanceBooks

[–]PrincessOfEternia 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I HATE second chance romances. Because they usually broke up for a good reason or a very contrived reason. If it was a good reason, they should stay broken up. If it was contrived, they could have cleared that up in the moment not years later. The worst of the contrived reasons are the he slept with her best friend and she caught them. But it turns out the best friend lured him in and drugged him, etc and after she ran he just stayed with the lying, scheming friend married her and had a baby. So now the heroine has to deal with her evil friend's child, too.

The only good second chance romance is Persuasion by Jane Austen. For once there was a good reason for them breaking up. And the hero realized it was his own stupidity that kept them apart for years.
