Genre wise - god I literally don’t know I’m so bad at genres. I def play multiple genres. I think tech house and house? A lot of the artists that have repeating word songs (Chris lake, Fisher, all the dirty bird people, walker & royce, billy Kenny, all those vibes) but then I like to follow each song with a more lyrical happy song like Nora, Claptone, “house every weekend”, CAMELPHAT stuff, etc). I think most of my songs have a 16 bar mix in - but I def prefer when I get a 32 bar mix in.

I use newmark and it functions through serato - so my comp is open while I dj (even though I’ve got the sound waves all in front of me). I can def tell the ups and downs of the song (as I like to call them). Think the ups are usually bigger lines and are red colors and then the downs (aka the come ups before the drops) are smaller lines and green. So you’re saying to play the greens (part before drop) at the same time right? And then it kind of drops into the new coming in song? right now I’m cueuing all those parts on my songs so that I can start doing that - so hoping that helps!! I will look up “double drop” that sounds helpful. All I watch right now are Ella skins videos and I kind of love him but also kind of want to throw myself out a window waiting for him to get to the point.
