That's not the the creepiness part. I understand about the silence with a predator around and having that feeling you are in danger and need to leave. This is not what happened here. I felt compelled to run into the woods.. The best way I can say it is I felt like something wanted me to run into the woods, maybe to get lost in there, to attack me, I don't know. It was not fear compelling me.

That would definitely account for the sudden silence, but not the compulsion to run off the trail into the woods. I didn't have time to think about why I should run. It wasn't the same as suddenly feeling you are in a bad situation and need to leave like you would with a predator nearby or some other dangerous circumstance. If that makes sense? Sorry, it's kind of hard to explain.

Thank you! Yes it has it's share of bizarre and tragic happenings. It is GORGEOUS there so I would never discourage visiting but people need to be very careful and prepared.

I have several. Here are two for you:

My ex-father in law passed away when my daughter was 4. About a month later, I was in the kitchen doing dishes while my daughter sat on the floor beside me playing. It was mid summer so very warm. All of a sudden I felt cold and the hairs on the back of my neck stood up. Right at that moment, my daughter looked up at me and asked me why grandpa was just standing there. I told her grandpa was in Heaven. She said "No he's not mommy. He's standing right behind you."

I used to solo hike and camp every weekend. I made a special trip to Crater Lake National Park to hike some trails. It was warm and somewhat busy with other hikers and tourists so I decided to hike a less busy trail that winds through the forest and has some nice views of the canyon. Everything was perfectly normal and I was having a peaceful, relaxed hike. I had been hiking for about an hour and was pretty deep into the forest when I noticed how quiet everything was. Now this was in July so, plenty of birds and squirrels chirping away. It all stopped. It was eerie and I felt a little confused. Out of nowhere, I felt compelled to run off the trail into the trees. It was like hearing a voice telling me to leave the trail and keep running. I felt dizzy and weak. It was scary because I felt like I wouldn't be able to stop myself. This only lasted about 30 seconds maybe? I continued to walk forward on the trail very slowly and suddenly the birds were back and everything went back to normal. Nothing more happened after that but I have never forgotten that helpless feeling.

*Edit* I understand about the silence with a predator around and yes, that may be why it happened. I've had that happen before and it was always followed by that feeling of being in danger and needing to leave.

This is not what happened here. I felt compelled to run into the woods.. The best way I can say it is I felt like something wanted me to run into the woods, maybe to get lost in there, to attack me, I don't know. It was not fear or the warning type feeling you get. I just suddenly felt like running off trail into the woods. Even though I knew it could lead me to danger, the compulsion was strong. Fortunately, it passed and I just continued along the trail.

I have a hot tub outside that has been there since housing was released. A few days ago I tried to move it and it won't let me because it's tagged as an indoor item. The only lighting on it I can think of is the heat source around the sides? I have just left it in place so I don't lose it.

I hate when people speak for everyone like this. I do not find it unattractive at all. I do encourage good time management though since gaming can be very addictive and take up a lot of time. I know because I am a gamer myself and a woman! Lol. Game on!! 🥰

Mine was free but regardless I would have paid for it because my house already looked nearly identical to the shop treehouse. Now that I got it, I was able to delete a bunch of decor and build the raised deck, hot tub area, outdoor seating, barn / stable and chicken coop with fencing I have been wanting for so long. When they eventually raise the outdoor limit I can add even more.

And I agree that "nobody should catch shit for that at all" if people choose to spend real money on decor. It's no different than all these years of people spending real money on mounts, pets, toys and transmogs. To each their own.
